The Diary Game Season 3 ( 09-27-2021) | Earning a Living This Pandemic

Mabuhay! Hello Steemit and Steemit Philippines 🇵🇭 !!! I hope everyone is in good health and praying for others to recover from the sickness they have felt.

As I went home after my work, I drop by a vendor who is selling street foods like tempura and fishballs. I bought 3 pieces of Tempura for Php 12.00. As I was eating near her stall, I had the chance of talking to her about life this pandemic time.

She is selling this street food before the pandemic but when COVID-19 hit our country her daily sales got affected. She says that what she earned for the day is not as the same as before. This happened because people are limiting or budgeting their money. Instead of buying this kind of street food they are opting to buy a food that is good for the whole family. She continued to sell not by the big profit she gained but the little amount she earns everyday for her family. To buy a kilo of rice and a viand good for a day.

Next to her stall is a woman selling vegetables, spices, dried fish and many more. She sells pre-cut mix vegetables so that the buyers will not have a hard time cutting and buying a lot of different kind of vegetables.

Most of the buyers or customers bought this mix pre cut vegetables because they can at least buy worth Php 10.00 to Php 20.00. You can have a viand of pure vegetables with spices already for at least Php 30.00. A healthy budget meal for a small family. Since, I also bought a mix pre cut vegetables from here, I have also ask her why she is selling too. I only saw her selling this area about 1-2 months ago, the same reason I have got. "We sell to earn a living, to feed our family and to survive this pandemic time because our children too, their work has been affected. With the small profit we earned, still we continue at least we have something to eat for a day.

Behind her is selling the same kind of what she is selling.

She is okay with it that there is a competitor selling same with what she is selling. Because the other vendor wanted to earn for her family too. They have different suki or constant buyers which is up to the buyers whom they want to buy.

Across them is a vendor selling fish and vegetables too. They are new sellers in the area.

When the pandemic hit, many lost their jobs, even business slow down and others close. Lots of family especially those with kids are finding ways to earn a living. Some do online selling of different kinds like plants, food and ukay-ukay or pre-loved clothes. "Lahat kailangan dumiskarte sa buhay para mabuhay" So if you want to buy from these kind of vendors "please do not ask for discounts or additional quantity" because they only earn a little profit and they have no enough capital to invest.

With the difficulties we have experienced this time, we just have to work hard and
