Congratulations, Steemit Philippines! I am here to share with you the "Power of Social Media". In fact, I have used it intensively in both my online and offline lives, and I have so much to say about this topic, which has brought me into this community with my first post. Being a former corporate worker, I would try to give you my answers to all of your questions in the order that you have asked them, but maybe with a difference and from my own perspective.

If you ask me when I joined social media, as far as I'm concerned, I was already an adult and working when I first came across social media. I was over thirty when I had access to the internet because before that it was not available in my country.

The best time for each child depends on their age and maturity, and children develop at different rates. Children prefer to stay connected with their friends, and social media has become an easy way for them to interact, especially in this age of nuclear families where children feel isolated. But the chances are they become addicted, get into trouble, or become victims of cyber bullying.

Most children start pushing for access to social media right from birth through their parents, and you won't be surprised that in most cases, the parents are responsible for pushing them into this habit because they need their own privacy. But by the time the children reach elementary school and their parents need to keep them away, they hand them over a gadget and feel pressure-free; they also, in some cases, allow it because they don't want their kids to feel neglected.

We have various opinions about social media. Social media is no longer social, but yes, we want to play our role in social changes, while another section keeps drawing attention to its limitations. Social media is not only about entertainment but it goes in all directions, left and right, from political discussions to DIY tutorials on YouTube.

  
It is estimated that a larger chunk of our country's users talk about politics on this site. It is clear that social media is taking on a new form outside of its initial structure. It is connecting with the common man's interests and consciousness. And with new data providers doing it for almost free, everyone has access to the internet, including rural areas that can watch anything or everything. That much is for the people who mismanage their social media activities.

Social media, on which billions of people are engaged throughout the day and we all know that Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and WhatsApp, etc. are all places where many people gather together and keep sharing something new by writing every day.

Now let's talk about the tremendous power of social media and agree to the fact that we can stay connected with different people anytime with the help of social media. We can send text messages, voice calls, and video calls and share our information and ideas with friends, relatives, mentors, and customers. It's possible to do business through social media websites like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp by creating business pages and promoting them regularly.

In the future, social media is going to be a great tool for education. Students can educate themselves on various subjects by using social media. All the information related to social media is available with just one click. Live lectures are already available through social media, and the future belongs to this medium. A student in India can listen to a teacher's lecture from anywhere in the world.

With this, you can contact more customers and share information related to your business. In fact, social media has removed the distance between people and businesses. The social media website LinkedIn is the future of employment. Any person can create a job-related profile on this website. Many people have gotten jobs by using this type of website. Twitter is such a medium where everyone from common people to big personalities airs their opinions.

Through social media platforms like YouTube, you can make videos of your skills like music and dance and upload them immediately. With this, your skill will reach every corner of the world, and you will become popular overnight. If you get more than ten thousand views on YouTube, then you can earn money sitting at home through advertising on your YouTube channel.

You can collect customers' information online through social media. More than 90 percent of business owners admit that social media has greatly boosted their business. Bloggers are promoting their websites through social media like Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. Through social media, people are applying various ideas while sitting at home and making progress.

Like a coin has two facets, in the same way, social media has its advantages and disadvantages. People's lives will become better by using social media. Where social media provides you with a means of entertainment and earning money, similarly, hacking and virus attacks promote the possibility of data theft. It is necessary for people to understand the process and method of social media. Its excessive use can put people in trouble.

Be careful! People might steal your personal data through social media. It falls under the category of a crime. Some hackers on social media can hack your social media account, through which they get your confidential information. That's why people on social media need to be cautious in this matter.

I would say that addiction to social media has spread among the youth. You should keep in mind that your numbers, addresses, and workplaces are all available on social media, which can be misused.

In some cases, your privacy settings on social media can create problems that could be misused, and even your personal data could be hacked with the wrong intention. That can put you in trouble. In some cases, legal action has been taken against people because of their comments. That's why you should think twice before giving your opinion; otherwise, it can have negative consequences.

Social media is an open platform that anyone can access through the internet, and it keeps the whole world connected. It could be a good medium of communication, and it involves the exchange of information at a rapid pace coming from all sources.

Social media plays a positive role in economics, society, culture, and politics. Social media is a great platform for the spread of popularity, where a person can make himself or any of his products more popular. Today, film trailers and TV programs are also being broadcast through social media. Video and audio chats have also been facilitated through social media, of which Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram are some of the major platforms.

We use social media to interact with our friends and family online, but is that all we do with social media? No, apart from this, we use it to keep track of different pieces of information related to different fields like politics, entertainment, etc.

Off late, social media like LinkedIn has proved to be very effective when it comes to finding a job or connecting with like-minded professionals working in the same field. You can keep in touch with employers using your resume.

During my corporate service (I'm jobless right now), I have visited LinkedIn to find candidates matching my own interests and the requirements of my company, and I have also referred many. Using social media will greatly increase your chances. Also, networking and use your social media accounts You can also use your social media account to network with like-minded individuals working in the same field.

Social media can also be used to earn money, as you are doing right now. That's true; Steemit is one of the social media sites where I earn a huge amount of money by posting articles and videos created by others and engaging in all kinds of other activities. You just need to find your own niche and unique skill and then upload.

However, if you wish to remain in a job, you can still use social media platforms to get to know employers and get in-depth information about how they work or who they're looking for. You can learn a lot about these companies by visiting their social media pages, where they share information related to job opportunities, requirements, and expectations.

Social media platforms like YouTube are excellent places for you to get information about the latest technology. YouTube can teach you about anything or every new thing, apart from DIY (Do It Yourself) or information related to the latest trends going on in any field.

You name it, and we have it. There are no social media that is not available in my country, but most of us use Facebook despite all its shortcomings, Twitter despite all its rumor-mongering, TikTok despite its senseless reels, and, of course, Instagram and WhatsApp. The list of social media is endless, and we have them all.
