In this pandemic, we learn from our key workers/frontliners, the ones the monetary system exploits most fiercely, more about the reality of our existence, of the truth the monetary system seeks to obscure.

On a good night, they could snatch a few hours of shut-eye but often there were the new admissions to deal with: the interviews and the paperwork. Other times a patient would scream all night and wake the entire ward making it a see of zombified patients all still dosed on their night medications.

“The soldier, above all others, prays for peace,” Douglas MacArthur once said, “for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.”

During the pandemic, you, the frontline worker, represent that soldier. Almost everyone you've worked on has benefited from your bravery and courage. I'd like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for everything you've done to help save the lives of the sick during this pandemic.

To everyone on the front lines, thank you so much for your dedication. It’s tough to have hospital room capacities at max every single day, and I can’t imagine what it’s like to be on your feet for as long as 48 hours straight. I'm sure it's also aggravating to see people not wearing masks or otherwise behaving in an unsanitary manner in public. You are the reason that patients are able to recover despite the chaos. It is a difficult task, but that is all the more reason for you to be recognized and appreciated for everything you do for this country. Thank you once more, and hopefully, this pandemic will be over soon.

We need to take care of those who take care of us, it's the right thing to do.
