Finally, I have made the Steemit Philippines Video Campaign. This contest is very challenging and fun to do. I hope I can bring more people in this platform, especially in our community, because of the promotion video. The video is also my entry and participation to the video contest in our community.

Hello, my name is Christian. Here in youtube, I share my art videos and now because of the pandemic, I also use it to upload my video lessons because it is very accessible to people, especially my students. But for today, I want to use this platform to inform and talk about STEEMIT. It is a typical social application powered by the Steem BLOCKCHAIN and it is also a community where you can earn cryptocurrency called Steem and SBD just by blogging or writing or making a content. I joined this wonderful community of creative, inspiring, talented and generous people since DECEMBER of 2017. I felt in love with it because the people in STEEMIT are very respectful and courteous. However, I was idle for 2 years because I was very busy with work. But now, I am back!

I am @christianyocte in STEEMIT. I am a proud BISAYA and CEBUANO. Actually, this video is an entry for a video-making contest in STEEMIT PHILIPPINES, a community for Filipinos all around the world. STEEMIT PHILIPPINES also holds photography contest and a diary game which are really fun to participate. Ano, gusto mo na bang sumali sa STEEMIT? Atong bisay-on, ganahan na ba ka mo-apil sa STEEMIT? Sigee! Tudluan tika!

To make a steemit account, go to your browser and just type signup.steemit.com. To create a new account, you will need your email and your phone number because STEEMIT wants to be sure that you are a real person. Do not worry because signing up is FREE!. I suggest that you read and follow the instructions carefully.

The next thing that you have to do after signing up is to secure your passwords. Steemit will be generating and providing every account their passwords. These passwords are very important for your activities in steemit such as posting, commenting, upvoting, powering up, transacting cryptocurrency and many more. There are actually 5 passwords or keys, each has a specific function and each is very important. I repeat, KEEP THEM PRIVATE and SECURE.

Now, when you are already in the platform you can now see the different menu bars like BLOG, POSTS, REPLIES, COMMUNITIES, NOTIFICATIONS, WALLET and SETTINGS. I know for sure that you want to make your profile look good, so you can go to SETTINGS so that you make changes of your profile. You can upload an image for your profile picture and cover image. You can also change your Display Name, write about yourself or your blog, indicate your location and add a link to your website.

Before you make a post, go to COMMUNITIES and explore which community is suitable for you. There are plenty of communities in STEEMIT that you can subscribe and join. There are communities for your photography, artworks, travel, diary, book reviews, food, cooking, games and many more. But here are few of the communities I would invite you to join…

Newcomer’s Community – Since you are a newcomer, you need to be guided properly. And this is the best community for that. It provides lessons and topics for new STEEMIANS. This community encourages you to do the achievement tasks which will help you on your steemit journey. I suggest your first post in STEEMIT is your Self-Introduction and is posted in this community.

Steemit Philippines – Since I am a Filipino and since this video is to promote STEEMIT to all Filipinos, I encourage you to join our community. We hold photography contest, diary game and a lot more.

Draft Crearte – this community is for creative people who loves arts and crafts. They also holds art contests. What I like about this community is that they challenge their community members to post quality and original art blogs.

Steem SkillShare – this community is for all who would like to learn and teach. There are various topics and tutorials in here, so if you want to learn new things or share your expertise, you can do it here!
Again, there are so many options of communities, all you have to do is explore!
