I am very pleased to be writing again and participating in another contest by the #steemitphilippines community. i wish to thank the organizers for making this contest a success and giving me a chance to express myself today.
my story today is one of Love and though it starts out well, there is a lot that went wrong along the line. let me not spoil the story before telling it so without further ado let us read and I hope you are inspired by my story.

Gerald a 23 year old man lived in a thriving city in the Coast, he was a worker in a construction company working everyday for an old friend Brian, Brian and Gerald were friends from college and they had each others backs, but Gerald was not able to continue school because his Mum fell ill with cancer and so he had to take care of her. As the only son, Gerald was tasked with the provision of food and medicine for his Mum.
He took care of his Mum for 1 year and she started showing signs of improvements, since Chemotherapy was over she started regaining strength.

So Gerald started school again the next year when his Mum got healthy again. he attended a Public works school and was able to get a Degree after 3 years passed. He then landed a job in a construction company where he met Brian his friend, but Brian was his boss but that did not come between their friendship. Gerald worked very hard to compensate for the years wasted. he was paid $250 an equivalent of 1,127.82 STEEM (current steem price) monthly, this was too small to provide drugs and food for the house meaning he had to work harder to meet up with expenses.
he would take up Handy Man Jobs for his neighbours who will pay him 50 to $60 (225 to 272 STEEM)from time to time this will help with some food and other provisions.

one day Gerald was called to do a Handy man Job outside his neighbourhood for a client who just moved into town, the client, Mr. Jude offered to pay above the minimum wage because the location was quite far. Gerald accepted the offer because of his need for the money and went there on a Saturday morning to look at the problem, he got there and met the client, a 50 year old man who looked a little chubby with an average height having white hairs around his chin who he seemed to be in a hurry for a business trip abroad. Gerald wondered who will be left to supervise when Mr Jude shouted "my daughter will supervise" so he went in and met Chantal who was just waking up from bed with a cup of warm chocolate ilk in her hands saying to Gerald to hurry up while she took him to where the problem was. it was an electrical problem that affected the whole house as concluded by Gerald. "How long will it take to fix" said CHantal 3 days minimum Gerald answered and she instructed him to get to work immediately.

Chantal was a 21 year old who just finished college and was working in the family business as a project coordinator, she is very passionate about starting her own business in designing clothes but her father wants her to work with him. Gerald on the other hand was very passionate about singing but he already knew now that he could not achieve that dream since he has to do this job to provide for his family.
He fixed the electrical problem going there everyday and changing the wires from the ceiling and replacing them with new ones Chantal was able to help him out by showing him around the house. they had the chance to discuss about certain problems faced by young people, make jokes, laughed at each others opinions they got close to each other for the time Gerald worked and that was when everything changed.....
