Hello Everyone, I hope you all are doing well and enjoying your happy & healthy life. Today I am here to share my first post and 1st participation in the steemit engagement challenge season 8 week 1. This topic was more interesting to me and therefore I am here to share my participation. Social media is the most common source of communication for all of us nowadays. Most people can't spend their day without using social media apps and websites.

How old are you when you start engaging in social media and how was your experience so far?

In our family, it's not good to use mobile phones from an early age and that's why I opened my first social media account at age of 17. I didn't know much about social media. But that I and my sisters create an account because she wants to promote her YouTube channel on social media so that more users will subscribe to her channel and our earning will start from it.

I didn't post anything on that account as I don't know anything but my sister used that account for promotion and inviting users. Now a year back I started posting content on social media platforms and interacting with friends, family, and more people. After posting content now I have many followers which makes me happy that I would be able to attract users to my account.

In your opinion, what is the right age for people to have access to social media?

In my opinion, children should create their social media accounts after adulthood. As I have seen a lot of kids on social media platforms and they wasted a lot of their time using social media platforms rather than studying during those hours. They didn't focus on their coursework and wasted their precious time which they have to use for building their future and personality too.

So, in my opinion, at age of 17, or 18 they should create their accounts on social media. As we can't keep an eye all the time on kids and they can reach harmful content that's not good for their mental and physical health. So, you haven't allowed your kids to reach out to social media platforms before adulthood.

What can you say to people who are no longer responsible for managing their social media accounts?

Social media becomes the most important platform for sharing information and communication. Many users create their accounts and didn't secure their accounts. Many hackers get access to such accounts that have not secured their accounts and didn't properly set strong passwords which are easily hacked by hackers or any other user.

It's necessary if you created your account you have to secure it properly and didn't let anyone access your account's private information. So, before creating social media accounts it's necessary to know how you can manage your accounts so that no one else gets access to it.

Share your ideas on how to properly manage a social media account.

Nowadays it's a need for everyone to create social media accounts and get connected with people. As I already told first we have to know how you have managed your social media accounts and secured them. Then some people share specific content which they easily post and know about it very well.

Then you have to select on which topic you can share your content and try to communicate with people that you who interact with people who have enough knowledge about your content theme. Before posting try to get enough knowledge about post content so that you didn't spread false information to other users. These are the important things you need to know about after joining social media platforms.

What do you think our future will be with this social media power?

Social media has a bright future if we focus on its beneficial sides. Through this, it's easy for most people to work and earn through social media platforms. They learn things easily and can start their own business. Many students who didn't understand through lectures can learn through YouTube channels and different social media platforms.

On the other side, some people didn't think it's good because people waste their time while using social media platforms and didn't focus on their studies, business, and work. Due to this, our society is lacking in brainstorming activities and they prefer to play video games rather than perform informational activities.

But I think social media is changed our life totally and most of us are dependent on it. In our country, people are running online businesses, which helps them to grow and learn faster. The most important thing is that we can communicate in a fast and easy way. So, in my opinion, it will strengthen us in the future.

Give the advantages and disadvantages of social media in your life.

I have seen a lot of advantages of social media platforms in my life. I wouldn't be able to study properly before using social media for studies purpose. I can easily make my assignment, projects and presentations through social media. I will be able to learn and earn by using social media websites. Like I can get help from Slide the Share search engine on which I get ppts and different slides on medicine-related topics.

The most important thing which changed my life, I joined steemit the decentralized social media platform through which I learned a lot of things and earn too. But it also makes that I can't study properly and waste time on scrolling Instagram and YouTube without doing anything useful.

What are the commonly used social media in your country? And categorize it.

In Pakistan, the most commonly used social media platforms used are Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, and, YouTube. These are the social media platforms that most people e are using in Pakistan and becoming famous day by day.

The first most highly used social media platform is Instagram, user share a lot of types of content on it and get offers from TV shows, Movies and, songs after checking their content on Instagram.

After Instagram, mostly use social media platform is YouTube, because YouTube is becoming the source of income for people and more people share their content on it. YouTube and Instagram are interlinked as those users posts their vlog on YouTube they share it's on Instagram with their followers so they can view them

these platforms are not only used by adults but old age people are also using them. Other platforms are also used by people but these 2 are mostly used in Pakistan. Now maximum people spend a lot of time on social media platforms. Steemit is becoming another most used social media platforms in Pakistan but still, it needs awareness and promotion to get more users.

Conclusion

This was all about my participation and I think social media has changed our life a lot and our life become easier than before. It has more advantages than disadvantages and people are getting more addicted to it day by day.
