Magandang buhay! Today I want to participate in the new contest organized by @steemphcurator by sharing to you one of my favorite Filipino dishes and I’m sure well-loved by many Filipinos; Pork Sisig.

Pork sisig is a popular Filipino dish which originated in Pampanga and is composed of chopped pig’s face, snout, and ears. Chicken liver is also part of the mixture seasoned with onions, chili peppers, and a little bit of calamansi juice.

Sisig is usually served on sizzling metal plates to help retain heat, you can also top it with sunny side up eggs. While others simply enjoyed sisig as “pulutan” or a food paired with beer or any alcoholic beverages, I love to pair it with a cup of rice, it’s a must-have for me, I cannot eat a viand without a cup of rice. I would also love it if it’s a little bit spicy because I love spicy foods.

There are actually a lot of versions of it now, in fact whenever I go to a restaurant or even in small food stalls, and they have sisig on their menu I never fail to include it in my order. Then, would end up comparing each sisig I’ve tasted. Was it just me?

Anyway, I really love the sisig in this little restaurant here in Lapu-Lapu City, the GG Blue Restaurant.

I came here with my friends for dinner last month to celebrate my friend’s birthday. They served a delicious pork sisig plus the ambiance of the place was really nice. It was also a stress-reliever from a stressful day at work because imagine enjoying your food with your friends, telling each other stories under the moonlight with a cold sea breeze brushing off your skin and with a live band singing your favorite song. What a perfect night to remember!

Also, any food would taste better if you eat it with your family and friends.

Thank you for reading! I would like to invite my friends @jenesa @umme @umbayangelica12 to participate in this contest. I would also like to thank @steemphcurator for organizing this event and to this community for uniting every Filipinos in this platform. Mabuhay kayong lahat!
