Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week#2|Family Moments: Hammock Invaders

Greetings to all from the NCR on its 13th day of the ECQ. I am grateful for this community so it helps in a way that my thoughts can be put into words. I wish to participate the community photography contest that is in its 2nd week.with the theme, family moments.

Capturing moments in our times is easier thanks to our mobile phones that is so handy. So I go through my save photos and choose the the best memories when I was home last 1.5 years ago. During this time it was the start of pandemic. It was even the time after my weeks of quarantine that allows me to be close to people. The time I was able to hug my mother tight. The time after all those days that I was in isolation. It was a freeing moment that I could be out and about, to be in the mountains, the rivers, but oh I was not able to come to the sea.

My Tatay was in his spot. It was the back of our hut. He position his nylon hammock there and have his afternoon siesta after the lunch. The wind was cool even the sun was up there above seems angry. The trees was a great help of course. It was tied on the rambutan on the other end, on the body of the century coconut tree on the other. We made sure that there is no mature coconut palm and fruits that was above all the time. It would be disaster if you would swing under those trees. We are always in our hut during noon time because the tin roof of the Kubo is unpleasant. Our hut is in nipa roof so it was cool. My Tatay whistles as if calling the wind to blow. As I heard it I noticed how serene that spot was. A slow swing, the winds was perfect for a book reading until I could take a nap. I smiled to his direction and slightly push him out from that hammock. Jokingly swing him in force so he would stand and gave the spot to me. I did win. My Tatay was unable to resist. Oh that was me on that hammock having the best time of my life. Reading a book of literature that sister had soft bounded. Few minutes later, just as I was settled in. This cutiepie nephew was running towards me. He swings me and wanted to hop on. He grabbed the book on my hand. Hold it as if he was reading too. In that few seconds, my sister who was seating next to me on the wooden chair playing my cellphone capture this moments. It was simple and yet full of love, if you can say that way. We then had our photography session after that. My nephew succeeded to push me out the hammock and play there himself with our neighboring kids.

I could not resist those kiddos. I miss them so so much.
