TYPES OF ICT
There different types of ICT and this includes;

• Broadcasting
• telecommunication
• Data network
• information
• satellite communication

I will be making more emphasis on Data network.
Data network: Data network is the connection of computers, telephones and other communication devices that helps user to communicate with one another and also share applications and data. And one of the advantage of the data network is that data can be shared or exchanged rapidly. There are different types of data network which are;
personal area network (PAN): this is the smallest and the most used data network which is made up of wireless modem, computer, tablet.e.t.c the PAN data network is a network that can be used by an individual to share his or her recourses within an office or residences and this are managed by a single person or an organization from a single device.

wide area network (WAN): The wide area network,is a type of network that shares resources or data in a wide geographical area such as countries, State. Here the internet link hundred of computer WANs.and most of the telephone we use today are WANs.

metropolitan Area network (MAN): the MAn network is similar with the wide area network but in the case of the MAN network, resources or network are being shared within a geographical area like city or suburbs. This method is often used to bypass local telephone companies when it's been access in along distance services.

Local area network (LAN): The local area network are network that share resources in a a small or confined geographical area and such network are privately owned communication network.that is to say it's resources can not be shared in a large geographical area.

APPLICATION OF ICT
ICT can be applied in different ways and in different organizing among which are;

• Education: ICt are now applied in our school, during lecture delivery or lesson using the multimedia systems, and also most of the school have E-libraries through which learning resources and research van be accessed easily.
• Health: ICT is also applied in the health sector,where all the doctors make research on new drugs and breakthrough world wide.and also it makes there work more easier because when technology was not in place patients do wait for more than an hour's just to meet up with the doctors but now you can book an appointment with the doctor even without you going to the hospital.
• Money: with the the use of ICT in our society today, the world is becoming cashless because the electronic payment system have taken over, and it's becoming more and more available that allows people to make transection at there comfort zone.that is to say people don't work about with cash anymore because of the ICT electronic payment, a user can send money to another person through bank transfer or even through coins.
• Video conferencing: This is the use of videos and sounds, with the ICT people can communicate with each other and still be seeing one another using the video conferencing, this has helped alot of people or group if friends to attend meetings without physical contact.
• Telecommuting: this is another application if the ICT where by people work at home with computers and communication connection between the home and the office, and this type of application has a lot of advantage to the society and to the employee in the sense that, it reduces traffic congestions, energy consumption and air pollution, it's improve team work and reduces absenteeism.
• Electronic commerce: The E-commerce is a system that is used for electronic transection. The platform has provide the easiest way of doing Business, and this has changed the way customer thinks about shopping. With the E-commerce people do there shopping without going to the shopping mould or the market.
• communication: this is the number one tools that allows people to communicate with each other worldwide, as such you don't need to visit your friends or family often, the ICT has make communication more easier by using some gadgets such as phones, laptops e.t.c.
