I am going to share about Robotic dog manufacturing by Sony company. Its name is Aibo. It looks like a toy Dog.

Aibo is a friendly robot dog whose personality and behavior evolves over time. It can identify and recognize its owner's and family members face, detect smiles, actions and compliments, and learn new activities and tricks. Of course, it likes to be petted.

AIBO (meaning partner in Japanese) is a series of robotic dogs designed and manufactured by Sony. Sony announced a prototype of the iPod in mid-1998, and the first consumer model was launched on 11 May 1999. Every year they released new versions and update of robot until 2006. Although most of the models are dogs, other inspirations include lion cubs, huskies/Jack Russell terriers/bulls. Terrier, and Space Explorer, and the ERS-7 version, ERS-110/111 and ERS-1000 versions are the only ones that are obviously "robotic dog", but the 210 can be considered a dog due to its Jack Russell Terrier appearance and face. .AIBO dog was inducted into the Carnegie of Mellon University Robot, Hall of Fame.

On 26 January 2006, Sony announced that it was discontinuing AIBO and many other products in an effort to increase profitability. Sony's AIBO customer support was gradually withdrawn, ending in March 2013 with support for the final ERS-7M3.

In July 2014, Sony stopped providing repairs for AIBO products and no longer provides customer support or repairs for older AIBO robots.

On November in the year 2017, Sony announced a new generation of AIBO robot dog after 11 years of gap. The fourth generation model, the ERS-1000, was launched in Japan on 11 January 2018. The second flash sale was set up on 6 February 2018.
The cost of the Sony Aibo robot dog was in American dollar $ 2900 it's indian rupee cost in 2,30,000 ₹ (steem price 7200 Steem).

Although it is a new invention and developing Robotic technology but it is in earlier stage. The operation of Robotic dog is very slow and look like a small toy. It having very less life span of 7 years.
To operate for two hours we need to charge 3 hours. We need pay additionally $ 300 every year to access it's cloud storage.
I will ask you a question if you have lot of money with you then you will buy this Robotic dog or a real dog.
