When we scrutinize all the events that occurred during the ancient civilization, we surely find the story that refers to the invasion carried out by the barbarian peoples in the Roman Empire. This war conflict, despite the time that has elapsed since it happened, is still very present because, during our academic history courses, they refer to this event.

In view of how cyclical history tends to be, it is very important that we know how this invasion developed, who its protagonists were and why most of the actions that were executed were indispensable in the conformation of modern civilization, even for what we know today of current history.

Starting from the first, we will explain that, the invasion of the barbarians was a series of events that these peoples carried out with the purpose of, destabilizing and subsequently eliminating the formation of the Roman Empire. Now, the term 'barbarian' refers to the various civilizations of alien origin that existed at that time and had no link with the predominant one that existed at that time; in this case, the Roman Empire.

The frequent attacks made by the barbarians against the Roman Empire, in all cases were not executed on the battlefield since, these were also responsible for gradually weakening the Roman Empire thanks to the filtration of people that they made in the Roman army and, the civilians who were throughout the territory dominated by the Romans.

It should be noted that, the group that went deeper into the Roman Empire was called Huns and they had the great support of large barbarian communities that made their entry through the area of Eastern Europe and, although in the first instance they destabilized the Western Roman Empire, the reality is that they managed to move without so many inconveniences throughout the Roman territory.

This situation began an avalanche of alliances and treaties that were agreed by peaceful means. The intention of this was to maintain total order in the Empire, however, despite this, in the same way several prolonged wars developed and until one of the adversaries did not surrender or failing that, they were defeated, they did not proclaim the victor.

To better understand why the barbarian invasions were so extensive it is essential to note that, the Roman Empire came to occupy 3 parts of continental Europe and in these territories was the Empire of Palmina, Gallic Empire and of course the Roman Empire. These invading peoples made an appearance in all the territories and although for some their presence was more devastating, they also achieved the objective of taking over those lands.

Referring to the leaders who had these groups we emphasize that, the main and strongest was Attila, followed by Hun and closes with Odoacer; all were part of the Germanic Heruli. Let us keep in mind that these three figures of the barbarian leadership were left with the title of having caused the greatest human casualty and at the same time, they took over almost the entire extension of land.

On the other hand, the Visigoths, Huns, Franks and the Ostrogoths themselves, were in charge of building various threats against the Roman Empire and to weaken it more quickly, they had the help of the Angles, Vandals and Saxons. These 3 groups were considered the most bloodthirsty and the artillery of weapons with which they counted, made them look even more fearsome, by the Roman army.

Finally, the accelerated demographic growth that the Roman Empire was having, together with the irregular conformation that the Roman army had, allowed the invasion of the barbarians to develop more successfully for that reason, these invaders managed to put an end to the largest empire that history has had, this being the acclaimed Roman Empire.
