You demonstrate and explained well about the affiliation tags, i like the suggestions
The use of long and shiny banners is common among users, which do not add value to the post, but rather occupy space that could have been used to add links to articles that are related to the article where these links are shared.
However. I agree the banner occupy the space and but the banners are essential to attract the users and make them curious to what inside the content.
Only the first image is shown outside, the banners are shown when the post is opened.
