Importance/role of a mother

Firstly, a mothers love is unconditional. Whether you become a leader, a tycoon or turn 80, a child will always remain a baby for the mother. They hold a strong love for their children no matter what stage of life they are in and that's one thing that makes them soo special.

Next, they are like foundation pillars. In hard times or the time of crisis, we all need someone we can lean on and mothers play that perfect role. In her arms, whatever insecurities, problems or negative feelings do not matter. She serves as a foundation pillar a child can always lean on.

Again, mums are our first teachers. A child can learns to trust their mother first and from there, they learn to trust and also be trustworthy persons. This is the reason why mothers serve as the best and first role models and teachers to their children. We also first learn how to love and care from mothers through the way they care for and love us. She teaches her child how to eat healthily, how to be happy, to forgive, family traditions, culture, be patient and all.

Lastly for this post, mothers give hope. When we go out into the world, we get experiences and not all are good. But a mother is there to give you hope through those challenges, comfort you and regain your confidence and strength that better days are ahead and that isn't the end of the road.

Some memories with my mom
During school, I saw a cake tutorial group on WhatsApp and decided to join. There, I learnt and was really exited to try it out. So I used the opportunity to bake a cake for my moms birthday. I didn't have the tools for butter icing decorations but I did my best. It was a really fun night although it wasn't a party but we had fun as a family. Cut the cake, ate together and gave her what we bought. She was really happy and though it can't match what she deserves I was really glad she appreciated the little we had to offer.

Another great memory i have was a small celebration she made for me. I was having a lot of complications during my final year as concerning graduation so i had to apply for special consideration. My name wasn't on the first list and it was taking forever for the 2nd list to be published. On the day the normal graduation set on the school calendar was to hold, the list was published and my name was on it. Luckily there was no celebration in school because of covid-19. She was so happy I was finally graduating. Although i couldn't celebrate with my friends and all that, she bought drinks, snacks and cooked then I rented the robe and we celebrated at home with family and some neighbors then i did a photoshoot with my sisters.

Some interesting facts about my mom

• She actually has a great sense of humour and is fund of remembering some funny childhood memories they had.

• If you're her friend then just know she's one of those friends you can count on. She would do her best to help a friend in need.

• She's a devoted christian, she sings and also the women leader in our church.

• She doesn't watch tv much. I can't even remember a time she watched a movie for 3omins straight.

• She had me when she was 23 and in a teachers training college.

• She is presently a nursery school teacher and was literally my first teacher because she taught me in primary 1 and i didn't go to a nursery school.
