I thank @secretbeauty,@SecretBeauty and all those who have helped orgazise this contest. It is not just contest which concerns me but the fact that we will all learn something which will help boost our imunuity.

Before our start my submission, i want us to first look at what our immun system and some immortance of it and why the need to always nboost it.



###IMMUNE SYSTEME
The immune system is one of the many systems in our body, its many function is to protect the body against any infection.The immune system is basically made of white blood cell,antibodies and complement systems such as the lymphatic system, spleen, bone marrow, thymus etc, all these come together to fight bacteria. The leucocytes are made of proteins called antigens. This antigens are able to atteck any foreing invader by engulfing and digesting it, hence eliminating it from the body. The body has its natural antigens which the person is born with,the body also acquire specific antigen when a bacteria invade the body.This new acquired antigen is stored in the body for defence if the same bacterial invade again, this defence prevents the bacteria from multiplying to cause any serious infections.The leucocytes has both T-cells and B-cells.These cells help the body to remeber the bacteria when it invades again.

The immune system sometimes fight infections(flu and common cold) many times before they are eliminated from the body, this is why it is imortant to boost our immunity. A stronger immunity means a better chnace of eliminating infections from the body.

I guess we now know why the immune system is important to our health.



####How to boost the immune system
Now that we know the importance of the immune system, we can then proceed to look at some of the things we can do to help boost the immune system boost.

With refference to covid-19 pandamic, people are advised to always wash their hands regularly and many other things, but a lot of things can be done to help fight the virus apart from washing our hands.

###Stay Hydrated
>Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.

Water is needed for almost every process which takes place in our body.Drinking enough water helps the hydrated especially when the is infection of cold and flu. Keep your immunity up by drinking plenty of water to stave off infection. Staying Hydration helps the body get rid of toxins, viruses and bacteria.Averagely a person should drink eight ounces of water.Lack of enough water in the body causes dehydration, which may lead to low blood pressure, weakness, dizziness dark urine etc.


###Supplemental Vitamins

Vitamins play important role in microbes in the body. Foods like Sunflower seeds contain zinc which helps to boost the immune system, it does that by facilitating leucocytes production. Vitamin C in citrus, garlic and ginger have antibiotic effects which helps to cleansen toxins from the body.


###Keep good hygiene
Good hygiene is the backbone of every goodhealth. Keeping your yourself surrounding helps prevent the strive of pathogenic disease. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), "it is advisable for a person to wash his or her hand for 20 seconds using warm running water and soap frequently, especially when the person is about to cook, coughed, sneezed etc"

###Get Enough Sleep
Sleep is needed by the body to boost the immune system. During our daily activities, the body becomes stressed to the extend that, the immune system becomes too weak to fight infection.sleep helps to reboot the system.
The body stops the activies of stress hormones, this helps to suppresses the invasion of pathogenic microbes.



###Conclusion
Our health is very important, so therefore it is very necessary for us to take good care of it.
