AIR-LESS TYRE the technology revolution

Hello guys have a blast day, I am here to talk about the air less tyre. Which is the upcoming future generation tyres and it will give the dramatic change in the automoblile sector.

Air less tyre is also called as the Non Pneumatic Tyre(NPT). The first NPT is developed by NASA which the applied in their lunar rover which sent to the moon for the research purpose. The first automoblile Air less tyre is developed by the company michelin. It does not have the bladder full of compressed air so it is not be exploded or flat during the driving. In future Air less tyre will replace the traditional tyre which could avoid checking of air pressure and provide balancing between traction and comfort.

The basic design of the normal is very similar even though there is many there are many different types only the outer thread may vary depending upon the vehicle working area. The NPT manufacturing forms a pattern of wedges, which help to absorb the impacts of the road. These spokes look similar to the ones found on bicycles and plays the shock-absorbing role of the compressed air as in a normal tyre. The shear band is the next layer of the thread which help to bounce back the spokes after the bending.

The Air less tyre is made by four main components they are thread , shear band , polyurethene spokes and wheel hub.
The wheel hub is manufactured as same as the normal tyre and they have no holes for the spokes this is the only different. This is because the polyurethene spokes is made by mold which is poured on the outer surface of the wheel hub. The polyurethe spoke is manufacture by the combination of plastic and rubber so that it can easily deformed and bounce back to the original shape.

The shear band is made by the thin steel wire which is surrounded between the thread and the spokes which gives the extra protection to the tyre and the thread is made by the same way as as the normal tyres the patters may vary depending upon the usage of the vehicle.

The are many application of the Air less tyre some them are, They are used in the construction vehicle because in the construction there are many nails and other sharp objects are in the working area. It is used in the military vehicle because the NPT never go flat so they can easily travel over the terrain and other place without any delay even though some spokes where damaged it does not affect the tyre the motion is same.
