Blang Kulam is a very beautiful place and people are starting to forget it, it used to experience a heyday before the armed conflict occurred in Aceh, after the conflict the place was left unattended and now it has started to reopen for tourism.
Blang Kulam and Rayab waterfall area presents a beautiful view of the waterfall, located in the Kuta Makmur sub-district, North Aceh Regency, Location, approximately 20 km from the city of Lhokseumawe which is the capital of North Aceh Regency before the division into a separate government of Lhokseumawe City
Access to the tourist area of Blang Kulam Waterfall today is very good, the road is in very good condition, we can travel to the area for approximately 40 minutes from the city of Lhokseumawe with beautiful views of the hills and a green and cool atmosphere
To enter the area, visitors are only charged a parking fee of IDR 5,000 or the equivalent of 1.6 STEEM for motorbikes and IDR 10,000 or the equivalent of 3 STEEM for visitors who use a car, visitors can bring food to enjoy with their family or buy it at the place because lots of food vendors available
There are two main spots in the Blang Kulam area, namely Blang Kulam Waterfall where we have to descend about 200 stairs to get to the bottom to reach Blang Kulam Waterfall, while the condition of Blang Kulam waterfall is not too high, about 30 meters and is the end of the river. which is rocky and the atmosphere is very cool and beautiful

Visitors must be careful and make sure you are in good health and fit when descending hundreds of stairs whose conditions are not well maintained, you also have to be careful because there are no handrails on the right and left sides when you go down the stairs because everything has been damaged by someone who not responsible

As I mentioned above, since the conflict in the Bengkulam area, it was abandoned due to unsupportive security conditions and after the Aceh conflict subsided, the local community reopened it, but it is also often problematic because it is considered a place of immorality and acts that violate religious norms, especially for unmarried couples.
Another spot in the tourist area of Blang Kulam is the Rayab area which is still in one area, only about 100 meters up from the Blang Kulam waterfall. Rayab is a river with a waterfall that is not too high only about 7 meters but is very comfortable to be used as a bathing place for families and children because the condition of the river is not deep and the current is not heavy so that security is more secure and filled with large and beautiful rocks where the water flows from between the rocks.

On the right and left sides of the river there are many traders selling various ready-to-eat foods and drinks as well as fried noodles and juice drinks, tea, coffee and various other types of drinks at relatively cheap prices and there are also many huts to rest for travelers. visitors and change clothes after bathing so as to make visitors comfortable and the waiters are very friendly
Many visitors also bring their own food supplies or even hold activities to cook fish or burn fried chicken which is very fun as a form of togetherness, we only need to bring rice from home then the fish or chicken will be cooked and fried in the Blang Kulam or rayab baths.

Mantap Abi. Blang Kolam salah satu Wisata air terjun yang ada di Aceh Utara yg bagus dan bersih dan jernik airnya. Sedikit kendala, tangga turun ke bawah yang panjang, sehingga sangat melelahkan bagi orang2 yang usia diatas 40 tahun, kadang sanggup turun tapi gak sanggup naik lagi.... He he he.
Pemda harusnya punya master plan yang bagus mengolah tempat2 wisata, wisata beu jalan maksiyat jangan ada, ekonomi masyarakat tumbuh, sekarang orang haus berwisata... Contoh bantayan lagi hits padahal tempat tidak bagus2 amat, mungkin masyarakat tidak punya alternatif mau kemana sama keluarga, ini peluang untuk membuka lapangan kerja
