When I was a child I heard from my mother in summer that I should wear a hat when playing in garden or on beach. I was told that when it is sunny and it shining direct on a head for a long time while we were playing outside we might not notice that it could cause headache, nausea and feeling awful. Actually the children might not notice that but evenings they feel unwell. That usually happen due to overheated head under sun.
Like I mentioned earlier, it is not easy to notice in time that a person has heat stroke, maybe because they play and busy and also often on beach there is nice cold wind from water side that is why it feels fresh but still direct sun can overheat the heads of people.
Some people can also notice feeling too thirsty, often face become hot and red and even hours later we feel flushed and skin is very dry. Having heat exposure for prolong time can cause nausea, vomiting and also confusion, headache is also one of the signs of heat stroke.
Everyone should know what to do when someone is suffering heat stroke. The first aid involves to bring a person in shadow and cool place. If possible let him lie down and give some cool drinks including mineral water so that he is cooled down from inside. Also you can wrap the legs with wet clothes so that skin cools down from outside. Give some painkiller if there is headache.
