What is inflammation?

 

Inflammation is the response of our body to any intruders like bacteria and viruses but also if we have an injury. How it happens? Our body in constant balance of all the system because we have protective skin, protective mechanism in our nose, that we start sneezing when we have any infection. We have tears in eyes when we have foreign body. That all means inflammation is an immune response in order to protect our body

 

Inflammation causes?

 

  • Injuries:

If any child when running fell on knee then on following day the knee is swollen, red and hot and tender. These are symptoms of inflammation. Often in children’s years it usually take few days and settles itself, because our body produces all necessary stuff, like increase circulation bringing oxygen and nutrients to tissue. With blood there will be white cells that belong to healing cells and they trigger our immune response.

  • Infection:

Any infection such as flue, viral respiratory infection may cause cough, running nose in order to clear our airway and the body produces temperature to heat the body and kill bacteria or viruses.

Infection could be in digestive tract, in order to help our body we start producing watery diarrhoea or vomiting and these mechanisms try to clear our body from those bacteria living in our intestinal tract.

 

How inflammation can be treated

 

There are simple measurements that we should do in the first instance before starting any medication:

  • Bed rest: because our body needs energy for fighting infection and all energy should be saved for that and not for muscle work. Also sleep is healthy because our brain work requires energy too, that is why do not overdo just have some sleep

  • Drink plenty: our body produces temperature and heat causes sweating that means we need refill our body with water to cool down and hydrate kidneys

  • Easy digestive energy such as glucose and salts. So best grapes, smoothies, salty stick. Often after few days we will be fine, because any simple inflammation is something that our body will sort out with a little help.

Must of this redness and pains are due to the poor diet we take and if we can stop all this food we see as enjoyment which are not. Like alcohol, sausage, lunch meat, deep fried items etc and hydrate our immune system with enough water we will not have inflammation

 last year 

Inflammation is a response to injuries and other forms of abnormalities in the body.
So many factors could trigger this and it is best not to ignore it. Proper treatment should be administered, as it may become serious if not treated.
Also to prevent it, we need to stay hydrated, stay clear from chemicals and toxic substances, eat healthy and get enough rest , just like you said...
