In this type of color blindness, all the three types of cones are present. The detected issue is that one cone’s light sensitivity is altered, creating a reduced color spectrum. From the researches have made, this type of color blindness is known as the most common type of color blindness, as it creates a diversion in color differentiation, distracting easy identification of colors. - Dichromatism

- Physical Damage: This are damages done directly physical to the eye as a result of an accident, fights, stroke, age, or eye disease which poses direct impact to the optic nerve or any part of the human brain that processes color information.
- Genetic Factors: This is known as the most common cause of color blindness, it is an inherited problem which alters the development of one or more of the three sets of color sensing cones in the eye. It is discovered that males are more likely to be color blind than females. This is as a result of the genes responsible for the most common forms of color blindness are on the X chromosome (male chromosome).
- Exposure to Chemicals: Due to the rough nature of some jobs, individuals are exposed to some which chemicals can cause color blindness like; carbon disulfide and fertilizers, can cause color vision deficiency.
The response to this is NO. The information passed round that color blindness can lead to complete loss of vision is totally false or could be regard as a myth, with reasons that Color blindness a condition that affects the perception of color or a situation in which the human eye cannot detect specific colors, with response to light. Another reason to justify this response is that people with complete color blindness can still see some shades of gray, which entails that they are not completely blind.
