This is how I manage stress.

Hello great people of Healthy Steem, I bring you all greetings form Lagos Nigeria my base.

I am glad to make my participation entry to the contest "This is how I manage my stress".

This is a very interesting topic, it is most person's daily experience as long as one is actively involved in things or work.

Stress

Stress can be seen as a feeling or state of mind that is resulted in so much activities and most times worrying.

Stress can be a mental stress or just a body stress.

Mental stress comes as a result of pressures mounted on the mind and brain. While body stress is as a result of accumulated physical activities.

Stress can lead to anxiety, body breakdown and other sicknesses if not properly managed.

How do I manage my stress?

In my own case, once I am stressed I will start having an unusual headache and feel weak at the same time. Some parts of my body will start paining and aching.

In this case once I start noticing this symptoms, I know it's time to retreat from whatever I am doing and catch up with some rests.

1. I Observe Good Sleep:

Once I start feeling the stress symptoms, I retreat to rest by having a very good sleep.

Once I take this sleep, it could be for 2 hours, if I wake up all the symptoms will be cleared and I will feel so refreshed again.

2. I Drink Lots Of Water:

Once I am feeling this heavy headache and weakness as a result of stress, I make sure I take lots of water.

Most times, when I take water, the headache tends to either subside or stop entirely.

I only resolve to sleep when after taking a lot of water and the symptoms don't seem to stop.

3. I Eat Food:

Sometimes, good has a way of easing off stress.

So I also try the food measure once I notice the stress symptom in my body.

After taking the food, I will just relax for a while and let the food digest, and I will be fine.

What activities do you do to not feel stressed?
1. I Take A Break:

If I don't want to feel stress in anything I am doing, I simply take some breaks and rest at the middle of any activity or work that I am doing.

So once I take the break for few minutes, and resume back my activity, I feel refreshed.

2. I Take Lots Of Water During The Day:

Naturally I love drinking a lot of water. So doing anything on the go, I make sure I have water to drink.

So while doing my work or activities, I drink water on the go and it keeps me going and subsides my probability of being stressed out.

Can stress affect your health?

Yes stress can affect one's health, if not properly managed. It has affected my health before.

  • Stress can cause anxiety.

  • Stress can cause general system breakdown.

  • Stress can cause other sicknesses too.

Conclusion

As long as one is involved in daily work and activities, the probability of being stressed is very high.

But then, everyone should master their body nature so as to know what works more for you in other to maintain it and not breakdown because of stress.

For me, taking a break, sleeping, drinking enough water and eating do help me in regulating stress.

Other persons, it could be exercise or even engaging ina brief discussion with people around, that way your head would be cleaned and you will feel refreshed.
