AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).as HIV destroys these cells, the body becomes increasingly unable to fight off infections and diseases.
HIV is transmitted through contact with infected bodily fluids such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids, rectal fluids, and breast milk.Common routes of transmission include unprotected sexual intercourse, sharing needles, and from mother to child during childbirth or breastfeeding.
HIV is diagnosed through blood or saliva tests that detect the presence of the virus or the antibodies produced in response to it.Regular testing is important for early detection and management.HIV attacks and weakens the body’s immune system, specifically targeting CD4 cells.

It is highly recommended to have constant health tests to rule out if we have the disease, because in case we get to have it we can treat it in time, although we cannot eliminate it from our lives, we can have it under control with the appropriate treatments.
