What is alopecia?

Scarring Alopecia :
This involves permanent hair loss due to the destruction of hair follicles and replacement by scar tissue, which can be caused by various inflammatory skin conditions.

Traction Alopecia:
This results from prolonged tension on the hair, often due to hairstyles like tight ponytails, braids, or extensions.

Alopecia Areata:
This is an autoimmune condition where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, leading to sudden, patchy hair loss on the scalp, face, or other parts of the body.

Alopecia patterns refer to the different ways hair loss can appear. Here are the common patterns:

Male-Pattern Baldness:
Hair starts to thin at the temples and crown, eventually leading to bald spots or complete baldness on top of the head.

Female-Pattern Baldness:
Hair thins mainly on the top and crown of the head, often making the part line wider, but usually doesn’t lead to total baldness.

Scarring Alopecia:

Alopecia Areata:
