Hello, my Steemian friend!!
I am eager to enter this Steemit Engagement Challenge Contest. Upon responding to the contest's questions, I have showcased my thoughts to you all. And hopefully, I can learn a lot from other posts

💉Which of these three routes of medication administration do you consider the fastest and most effective to relieve pain, why?

My personal preferred way of drug administration is orally. It is a more convenient and painless process and doesn’t need another person to help administrate it. The drug is taken with water and gulped down. Although it takes some time to take effect because the capsule needs to dissolve inside the person’s stomach it is one of the less messier ways to administer the drug as the person on the other end might not be as professional as we hoped to be and might end by hurting the sick person.

💊 There are two ways to administer injected treatment, intravenous and intramuscular. Which of them do you prefer in case you need quick relief or discomfort?

Intravenous is the fastest method out of the three because the goal is to administer the drug into the subject’s bloodstream to circulate the drug around the body. In this method, medical professionals inject drugs into the veins of the subject and thus directly administer them into the bloodstream. If a patient is in an emergency and the medical personnel need the fastest way to administer drugs they prefer this over any other methods but there are a few drawbacks. If the patient is obese then the medical personnel has a hard time finding the veins to inject the drug into and might end up hurting or worse damaging the vein tissues which would be very risky for the patient as it would spray out a pool of blood due to internal body pressure. However, it is preferable in times of emergency because injecting drugs into the vein would work more efficiently and take less time.

Out of Intravenous and Intramuscular, I would prefer the Intramuscular method because it takes less time to administer compared to Intravenous as in Intravenous the patient would need to administer the drug using IV drops which takes a lot of time. Although the Intramuscular takes time to take effect in the patient's body compared to the Intravenous I choose the Intramuscular method because in this method medical personnel can administer the drug in a minute and it can cause less discomfort compared to the Intravenous method. In this method the drug is administered into the muscles of the patient the medical personnel don’t need to struggle to find the veins.

💉There is a very good medicine for our body vitamin B12, why do you think they indicate it more in injections and not in pills? Do you think they do not have the same components or the same effect?

Vitamin B12 is injected into the patient's muscles because the body absorbs this much better compared to when it is taken orally. If Vitamin B12 is taken orally then it is not as efficient because the capsule can just pass through the body’s digestive system which can result in lower absorption. According to research done in 2008, blood only absorbs 1.3% of 1000mcg oral dose and when it is injected it goes up to 55% to 97% that’s why injections are preferable.

💊If you are one of those who do not take pills and you do not like injections, what other method are you looking for to relieve pain or discomfort!?

If oral and injections are discarded I would prefer the inhalation method because it would enter the patient's respiratory system and when blood is being purified inside the lungs it gets mixed and spread throughout the body. It is one of the painless methods of drug administration and less complicated too. The patient doesn’t need another person to help administer this. So it might be more efficient compared to Rectal, Otic, Nasal, etc.

I want to invite @alisha-doll @rashidaakter, and @danish578 to participate in this contest.

Thanks for being with me.

Best Regards

Hello @shawlin Your detailed insights into medication administration methods are impressive. Your preference for oral medication due to its convenience and less messiness is understandable. The breakdown of intravenous and intramuscular injections considering factors like time and patient comfort adds depth to your perspective. The explanation on Vitamin B12 injections highlights the efficiency of absorption. Your consideration of inhalation as alternative method is a thoughtful addition. Best of luck

Success and best regards
