Bacteria are so tiny that we can't see them with our naked eyes. If we could see them, we'd be constantly on the lookout for contaminated surfaces. That's where special stains, like the Gram stain developed by Christian Gram, come in.

The Gram stain is used in Bacteriology to classify bacteria into two groups: Gram Positive and Gram Negative. The staining process involves the bacterial wall, which determines whether the bacteria will appear as intense purple or pink. It's fascinating how something as small as the components of the bacterial wall can have such an impact on the coloration.

Thanks for sharing this interesting information about bacteria and staining techniques. It's always fascinating to learn about the microscopic world around us.
