The use of flavours and plants seem to be a very common element used as an ancient medicine. Over here in my country we also use it.

I have also told a story in my entry of how mum constantly cooked the Neem for us as kids and we drank it. It was believed to have powers to cure malaria and thyroid.

If you ask me I think there is nothing so wrong with using ancient medicines as long as it gets the results done and has no adverse effects.
