SEC-S16 / W2 | How do you like it better? injected Or orally?๐๐" by @rossnenye
I myself prefer injections to taking drugs orally because injection has faster effect to taking drugs orally. Whenever I take drugs orally, it usually stuck to my throat and I usually end up vomiting.
Before I proceed, I would want to explain taking drugs orally, injection through intravenous and intramuscular injection.
Oral medication
This entails swallowing capsules, pills, tablets with water or liquid. It takes up to 1 hour for it to take effect.
Intramuscular injection
This involves injecting medication through muscular cells through the buttock, arm and thigh. This form of taking medication takes up to 40minutes to take effect.
Intravenous injection
This involves injecting medication through the vein which enters directly into the blood stream where it begins to take effect.
Which of these three routes of medication administration do you consider the fastest and most effective to relieve pain, why?
Intravenous injection is the fastest form of relief from discomfort or pain this is because when injected, the drug goes directly to the bloodstream where it begins to function. It takes few minutes for it to began to take effect. Orally taken medication takes 40minutes to 1 hour to be properly digested by the digestive system before it enters the blood stream where it begins to function.
Intramuscular injection when injected into the muscle takes 20 to 30 minutes to enter the blood stream where it begins to function. Some times orally taken are not swallowed properly thereby making the drugs to have little or no effect on the patient.
๐ There are two ways to administer injected treatment, intravenous and intramuscular. Which of them do you prefer in case you need quick relief or discomfort?
Like I said earlier on, Intravenous injection offers the fastest relief from pain and discomfort because when injected into the body it enters directly into the blood stream where it begins to work while intramuscular have to travel through the muscular cells before it enters the bloodstream and this stays about 40minutes to work.
๐There is a very good medicine for our body vitamin B12, why do you think they indicate it more in injection and not in pills? Do you think they do not have the same components or the same effect?
The main reason while B12 is injected into the body rather than taken orally is because of absorbance. Injection absorbs faster into the blood stream where itg works more than pills.
๐If you are one of those who do not take pills and you do not like injections, what other method are you looking for to relieve pain or discomfort!?
There are so many ways we can take medication.
We can inhale medication through the nose.
We can equally use accupressure, which involves applying pressure at some specific places in the body to reduce pain.
Taking enough rest and drinking plenty water is another way of relieving pain.
Thanks for reading through my post, I invite @tripple-e, @basil20 and @akofem to participate in this contest.
Hello, the truth is that many do not like injections but I think it is a better option than taking oral medications where the pills tend to stay in the throat and cause discomfort and a bad taste in the mouth, the injection is preferable because it only We must stay calm.
The intravenous injection goes directly into the bloodstream, providing a faster effect to the person who requires it, so the intravenous injection is the most effective in relieving pain, the intramuscular tends to calm the pain but does not have an effect as fast as the intravenous injection.

Thank you for the mentioned, I'll send in my participation soon. Success to you
Exactly what you said. IV is sure the fastest way to administer drugs. Due to its peculiarity of going straight into the blood makes it faster to get to all needed ends. It does not need to follow a longer process of digestion in the stomach as seen for oral medics. Good luck,
Thank you very much sir for your comment.
Hope you are doing well and enjoying your lives and doing your work etc. I really like the pictures you posted on your stream on this contest. Yes and you have done a great job I hope you all continue to do the same and support yourself and others.
Thanks dear friend for your wonderful comment.

There are indeed many different ways to take medication and find relief. One way is through inhalation, where we breathe in medication through our nose. It's like taking a deep breath of healing goodness! Another method is acupressure, which involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to reduce pain. It's like giving yourself a little massage to ease those aches and pains. Resting up and staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water can also work wonders for relieving pain. It's all about giving your body the time and support it needs to heal. So, whether it's inhaling, acupressure, or taking care of yourself with rest and hydration, there are plenty of ways to find relief without relying solely on medication. It's amazing how our bodies respond to different approaches. All the best
Thanks for your comment.
Your post analysis of different medication administration routes reflects a nuanced understanding of their impact on effectiveness and speed. Your preference for intravenous injections due to their rapid onset aligns with the need for quick relief and your explanation..Well done!
Thanks for your review.
