What you know about medical emergency 🦺??

Medical Emergency can be defined as a situation in which someone acccquire serious ailment, injury, allergy, wound that requires serious medical care. This medical emergency can be accident, heart attack, organ failure, stroke, allergic e.t.c. The best thing to do for someone experiencing this is to apply first aid treatment, then rush the person to the hospital.

Share any three emergency procedures briefly?

Apply first aid treatment

First aid which is the first treatment given to someone before the assistance of a doctor is the first thing to do. In the case of accident where the person is bleeding, try to stop the bleeding so the victim doesn't bleed to death. In the case of fainting, try to revive the victim with water. In the case of drowning try to revive the person by applying Cardiopulmonary Revival (CPR)

Apply Cardiopulmonary Revival (CPR)

This is a life saving process used to restore a person who is no longer breathing. It It involves chest compression and mouth to mouth breathing. It can be performed by anybody.

Take the victim to the hospital

After applying first aid treatment, take the victim to the hospital to seek proper medical care.

• Have ever you applied emergency procedures on someone?

Yes when I was still in high school, There was a situation and my roommate passed out. I and my other roommates revived her with water. We also removed her clothes in order for her to get fresh air.

• What is importance of having a knowledge of practical implementation of medical emergency to someone?

The importance of having lay knowledge of practical implementation of medical Emergency cannot be over emphasized.

It has helped us to have the ability to take care of casualties in critical circumstance.

It has also helped in preventing so many death. So many people would have been dead today if they weren't giving necessary attention
