in Healthy Steemlast year

Hello everyone,
It's your favorite Steemian @rakiya from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join in this contest organized by @dexsyluz in this noble community today. It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.

Today, the contest title that drew my attention is this very one that says "Tell Me About HIV". I wanted to see more about it and also read what others have to say about it.

Have you had a discriminatory experience against someone who has HIV-AIDS?

Yes, before this time, the ideology I had about those living with AIDS was that coming close to them alone may result in you also getting the sickness, and for that reason, immediately we notice anyone with the sickness we run away from the person.

The thought was that if an AIDS person touches or even eats with you on the same plate you may probably contract the sickness as well. So with this in mind, when we go to the hospital and we see those who came from the check-up or drugs we flee away from them until they are satisfyingly convinced.

Should these people have jobs?

Yes, of course, the sickness shouldn't be a reason for segregation. As we all know, AIDS can be contracted via various means and if someone has the sickness, it doesn't mean that the person's ability to work is no more.

Jobs need the best people to handle it and for that reason, I believe anyone no matter the health status of the person once he or she can effectively deliver, should be given the job at any point and time.

So for the above question, my answer is yes they should be given a job and they shouldn't be segregated or made to feel rejected or discriminated against no matter the condition they find themselves in.

Can a person with HIV be cured?

Yes, of course, HIV is a virus that if spotted on time and given proper medication can be cured. More also, if the persons with such sickness are always cared for or taken care of by people around them and they are not been segregated, they will recover speedily.

So every sickness can be cured if the person is given proper care at all times. Don't let any sick person feel rejected because that can cause his death and not the sickness. So accepting people even in their conditions helps them to recover always.

I want to invite @lhorgic @drhira and @bossj23 to join the contest
