In my today's entry I will be sharing with you all the meaning of breast cancer, it's causes, the four stages of breast cancer, how it can be treated and lastly the possible ways breast cancer can be prevented.

WHAT IS BREAST CANCER?

---

According to my own understanding of what breasts cancer is, it is a type of disease inwhich the cells inside the breast grow out of control thereby resulting into cancer.

---

According to my own personal research I have discovered that the kind of breast cancer that affects a person depends on the type of cells in the breast that went out of control resulting into cancer.

WHAT CAUSES BREAST CANCER?

---

Studies show that there are so many causes of breast cancer but below I'm just going to discuss on the few of them which are;

• Age
• Lifestyle
• Family history
• Radiation

AGE

---

Studies show that the risk of a person to develop breast cancer disease tends to increase in women alongside with their age, as it is mostly common in women above the age of 50 years.

LIFESTYLE

---

A persons lifestyle tends to be one of the causes of breast cancer for example is a person is too fat or obese the person is most likely to develop cancer as well as Menstrual history, A sedentary lifestyle, Heavy drinking, Previous medical treatments etc. All this can greatly contribute to a person developing breast cancer.

FAMILY HISTORY

If a person comes from a family whose either their parents or any of their relatives have had an history of cancer such a person is most likely to develop cancer in the future.

RADIATION

---

Being exposed to radiation tends to be one of the greatest causes of cancer, for example if a person had received a radiation treatment in the chest when you were young you definitely stand a great chance of developing cancer in the future.

WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THE 4 STAGES OF CANCER?

---

When talking about the stages of breast cancer, according to my research I've found out that the most common staging system when it comes to cancer staging is the TNM grading system.

---

And when it comes to breast cancer it has only five stages which it starts from stage 1, then from 1 to 2, 3, 4, and from there it then reaches the final stage which is stage five(5) and also studies shows that the higher the stage number a victim goes the more the cancer has spread in the body.

---

And why it is being graded in a number sequence is just to make it easy and simple to understand and so that the victims will be able to know how far there have gone with the disease, and also.

HOW CAN BREAST CANCER BE TREATED?

---

Breast Cancer can be treated in so many ways but note that despite it being a curable disease it depends on how far it has spread as well as the type of breast cancer it is also the stage he's in.

And some of the ways in which breast cancer can be treated are;

this is an operation whereby the doctor or a surgeon cuts out the cancer from the body

this depends of the stage of the cancer, it is the taking in of special medicines to weaken or kill the cancer cells in the body.

this involves the use of high energy rays of white lights to kill the cancer cell in the body it is similar to x-ray 🩻.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE WAYS TO PREVENT BREAST CANCER?

---

Breast cancer being a very dangerous disease and in other to stay free from it some of the steps below should be taken and there are;

---

• Keeping and maintaining a healthy body weight
• By being physically active and avoid too much time spent sitting down
• In other to prevent breast cancer it's best not to drink alcohol or it's better to drink alcohol but in a moderate way with self-control
• Following and maintaining a healthy eating habits for a healthy life

Breast cancer is a very deadly disease that has been a matter of concern for many years now and we all should endeavour to to follow the above mentioned preventive method in other to live a cancer free life and remember "Health is wealth" also "Prevention is better than cute"
