Greetings everyone, how are you all doing tonight, I hope you all are doing well by the special grace of God I am also fine as well, it's my pleasure to be here tonight, I will be discussing on the topic titled "Does Radioactivity Cause Death?". All thanks to the Honourable Moderator @dexsyluz for organising this Amazing contest in which I will be participating tonight, I will start from here without wasting time....

It's a very vital and crucial topic which is my best subject so far, it's a question from the physics textbook in which I always like reading the most, I will be explaining what radioactivity is all about , according to how I was taught about this very topic. "Radioactivity" simply refers to the disintegration of the nucleus of the atom of an element during which it emits Alpha & Beta particle.

Yes, radiation can cause death. Ionizing radiation can simply be harmful or even fatal. I also have some few reasons why radiation can cause death they are as follows....

1. Cancer: It is a long-term exposure to low level radiation that increases the risk of Cancer.
2. Cellular damage: It's simply refers to the radiation that interact with living cells, also causes damage to DNA.This damage can simply leads to cell death or disrupted cellular functions.
3. Radiation Poisoning: It refers to the radiation exposure, e.g nuclear accident or detonations which can simply cause rapid death due to some certains cellular destruction.
4. Acute Radiation Syndrome: It's simply refers to a condition characterized by diarrhea, vomiting, damage to the bone narrow and gastrointestinal system. Only of it is left untreated therefore ARS can be fatal.

I have come to the notice that safety first is mandatory for any job carried out in the field. At the age of 40, I will make sure that I recommend the following changes to avoid Chernobyl accident.

1. Safety Features: It simply refers to the act of implementing safety feature such as emergency core cooling system.
2. Operator Training: It simply refers to the comprehensive training programs for operators focusing on emergency procedures.
3. Maintenance and upkeep: It simply refers to the upkeep of equipment to prevent failures.
4. International collaboration: It's simply refers to the act of encouraging global sharing of best practices and also the lesson learn from other industries.
5. Safety Cultures: It is a strong safety
   cultures among engineers and operators encouraging open discussion and also to report concerns.

Nowadays we are simply expose to radiation through different sources like natural and artificial sources.
Natural source includes the radon in our home like cosmic rays and radioactive.
Artificial sources also involves some medical devices like CT scanners and nuclear power generation.

Radiation is also all around us, and we are also exposed to it in some sources like Natural and artificial sources, I have also comes to the notice that some radiation is very harmless or even deadful. I think understanding radiation also helps to notice it's benefits while minimising some risk.

I want to use this opportunity to appreciate each and every one for taking out time to read and go through my contest challenge, I sincerely apologies on any mistake been made while writing, I will like to invite three of my friends to participate in this contest challenge
