Good day my beautiful steemians how are you doing? Im delighted to take part of this contest organized by @suboohi about "Importance Of Adequate Sleep" so come with me as I attend to the questions.
But before then what is sleep?
Sleep is the way of having rest of your body. so everyone needs sleep both babies and adults. Sleeping helps the body to relax very well so that some one can be able to continue with the tax of another day.
How much adequate amount of sleep is beneficial for good health.
Sleep is very good. In children they need from 10 - 12 hours to sleep while in adult is from 8-9 hours to sleep.
Sleeping help the body especially the brain to relax. Lack of adequate sleep makes the body weak and also make the brain not only that but the whole body not to function well because it will lack concentration of every thing.
But too much of sleep is also bad because everything that has advantages also has disadvantage in life. So is not good to over sleep to avoid disadvantages of it.
Problems that may cause by lack of sleep.
There are some many things that can lead to lack of sleep but I will be discussing just a few of it.
Stress: this is one of the things that can lead to lack of sleep. When the body is over stressed and does not have rest it can lead to shortage of blood at the same time causes lack of sleep.
depression: like family problems and financial problem can lead to this problem due to excess thinking and worries.
Sickness: there are type of sickness that can make you not to sleep such as diabetes, kidney problem, heartburn and the rest of them can be a big hindrance not to sleep well.

Just like I said before, every advantages must have disadvantages too.
Too much of sleep causes stroke especially in adults.
Too much pains like injury from accident or or anything related to that can can lead to excess sleep
Stress can also lead to too much sleep in order to regain back the body strength.

You also explained the dangers of excess sleep. In essence, sleep should neither be a deprivation or in excess. It should be adequate and quality.

Sleep is very important part of life, I would say it is in the family of REST.
Stress can also lead to too much sleep in order to regain back the body strength. So a little more sleep can happen once in a while.
