A great welcome to another wonderful week. Trust we are all doing fine. The feet is one of the parts of our body that many people look down on. Most at times, we do not remember it until we hurt by hitting on a stone while walking or playing. How important is the feet to us and how can we take good care of it?

The engagement contest by @healthy steem will help us to see the importance of our feet and how we can take care of it.

Do you like walking barefoot? Explain your reasons.

When we were born, we did not come out from the womb with any footwear, that means that there are benefits with walking barefooted.

I like walking barefooted especially along the beach sand because of so many health benefits.

° Blood circulation in the feet is greatly improved. There are so many nerve endings under our feet, so walking barefooted sends some information to the brain, which helps improve blood circulation.

° It also increases our exposure to negative ions which help to reduce tiredness, giving us more energy in the process.

° when we walk on barefoot, it helps to reduce anxiety and stress.

° Walking barefooted helps to improve sensory perceptions. This helps a person to adjust his feelings while walking on rough or smooth surfaces.

° When we walk on sand, we are exercising and strengthening the muscles and it also assist in burning calories.

These are some of the reasons why I like walking barefooted.

How important is taking care of your feet?

The feet is very important in the human body. It forms the base of the body, carry the weight of the entire human structure.

Therefore, it needs to be well taken care of, washed, cleaned, sponged when bathing since its health is vital to the entire body.

Not taking good care of the foot will lead to foot disorders, injuries, which will affect how mobile we can be.

When we do not take care of our foot, our performance on a job will seriously be affected and we will be having loss of time. We cannot also engage in many physical activities due to injury, this will automatically result in diseases that comes with obesity like heart diseases, diabetes, not enduring for long while trekking and loss of muscle mass.

What do you think of the saying “Don't walk barefoot, parasites can get in?

I think this saying depends on the environment and the people in question.

It could be a friendly advice coming from a concerned person, having noticed that the sanitary condition of the place is very bad.

Personally, i love to walk barefooted mostly at the beach where many dangerous organisms are washed off the sand.

Apart from that, it is really difficult to walk around in barefoot because of how dirty the place may be or to avoid catching cold in places that are tiled.

What do you think of a world without shoes?

It would have been so nice to have a world without shoes. Not wearing shoes would have meant better health to so many people.

However, it is simply impracticable not to wear shoes because of our environment and how dirty it is.

Our environment is so much polluted that walking about barefooted will cause so much sickness and diseases.

Unless if the entire world is cleaned up, then it can be possible to walk about barefooted. After all, In the olden days, people did that and they lived longer than we are doing now

Conclusion

Walking about barefooted is a nice and healthy act, like strolling in the beach, playing ball in the beach, etc. It definitely improves a person's health. However, care must be taken to ensure one's safety while doing so.

Hello friend, this is how it is since we are born our feet are in the air, it means that we do not wear any shoes, nothing like walking and feeling the sand on the beach.

I think that in part we must walk barefoot at some point to have contact with the sand and above all to have good circulation.

We must keep our feet clean and take care of them, and as you say, they are what hold all our weight.

We were not born with shoes indeed and we will go to our various graves without shoes.

Shoes came into existence just as means of survival because we will really need it to survive. Imagine the crazy things we step on in the road, how disgusting they are and we can't imagine ourselves stepping on those things with our barefoot.
