The person with alcoholism problems generally does not know about responsibilities, obligations, has no control over himself, does not know limits, always feels the urge or desire to drink alcohol.

This is very true and happens in my country Nigeria. Some men who are old enough to get married have children and cater for their family takes excessive alcohol and these men are regarded as black sheeps in their family and cannot carry any responsibility and obligations. They cannot even cater for themselves talkless of another person. They become what less in the society.
