SEC-S16 / W2 | How do you like it better? injected Or orally?๐๐
Growing up I hated injection and the smell of drugs so it was very hard to administer any of this to me, my parents then will use all the means they feel is good to give me the oral medication even if it requires beatings and full house force and I hated being sick, most times when sickness comes knocking I will send it back because I know where it will land me.
My parents love it orally that's why we never knew the walls of hospitals and injection wasn't out things.
๐Which of these three routes of medication administration do you consider the fastest and most effective to relieve pain, why?
Depending on the type of sickness and who is sick will actually determine which medical administration to give. Personally I will say injection, immediately one is injected, few minutes the body starts working and the healing starts but oral medication when administer will take time to absorpt in the body hence making the person stay for 1 hours, 2 hours before reaction takes place.
The intravenous administration to me is the fastest way to relieve pains because it is injected directly in the vein and effects takes it in seconds.
๐ There are two ways to administer injected treatment, intravenous and intramuscular. Which of them do you prefer in case you need quick relief or discomfort?
These two ways includes:
Intramuscular here one is administered injection directly in the body, ha! This one is always scary seriously I cry anytime my daughter goes through this method during immunization. To me I don't like it, is always painful and when not properly given, it will swell up.
Intravenous here one is administered injection through the vein and the wahala here is when vein can't be seen it becomes a process of serval choking and removing till the vein is seen. I can still remember when the doctor told the nurses to give me intravenous injection, a nurse novice at that, that was when I knew pains ad since then I will rather close my nose and eyes and take it orally.
Choosing between intramuscular and intravenous, I will choose none, but if I am at the cross road I will go for the intravenous administration.
๐There is a very good medicine for our body vitamin B12, why do you think they indicate it more in injection and not in pills? Do you think they do not have the same components or the same effect?
Vitamin B12 is important to the body especially the nerve cells and I think why it is mostly in injection is because of it worth so that when administered it will provide all the necessary antibiotics to the body. And pills might not really give the full absorption of the medication that's why it is mostly injected to give the body it full work.
๐If you are one of those who do not take pills and you do not like injections, what other method are you looking for to relieve pain or discomfort!?
Sincerely i don't like injection, the smell of drugs and even native concoction makes me more sick. I try my best to stay healthy by eating healthy foods and fruits. I know right now I need medical treatment but the fear of drugs which I may likely go for is making me more sick and to make it worst my husband is threatening to take me to the hospital for injection, I will run oh ๐๐๐๐๐๐

@mybest Your personal anecdotes about your aversion to injections and the challenges faced during immunization add a relatable and humorous touch to your post. Your preference for intravenous administration due to its quick relief aligns with the contest theme and your detailed comparison of intramuscular and intravenous methods provides a clear perspective. The discussion on vitamin B12 injection emphasizes its importance and efficiency. Your reluctance towards medication is understandable and your focus on maintaining health through healthy eating habits and fruits reflects a holistic approach. Best wishes

I totally understand your fear of injections and the smell of drugs. But don't worry, there are other ways to stay healthy and get the treatment you need. Eating healthy foods and fruits is a great start. They can provide your body with the nutrients it needs to fight off illness. If you do need medical treatment, you can talk to your doctor about alternative options that don't involve injections. Remember, it's important to communicate your concerns with your husband and healthcare provider so they can understand and support you. No need to run away, try to find a solution with your husband and doctor.
We are still in the discussion process to seek alternative. That suggestions of meeting a medical practitioner and finding alternative is what I will consider now. Thank you sir, this really helped
You're welcome
