Summer season has come, but it brings a lot of problematic things with it. One of them is a heat rash. It is caused in hot weather when humidity is also present in the air. Although heat rash is not very painful, it can lead to restlessness.

What are heat rash and their causes?

The root cause of heat rash is severely hot weather. Human body had a natural system of cool down through sweating in high temperature.Heat rash basically entrapped sweat to the epidermal layer of skin. The blockage or inflammation of duct which connects sweat gland to its opening on the skin.

The sweat didn't find a way to come out and evaporate through the skin and collected in tiny lumps or transparent blisters. This situation is very itchy and unbearable. Scratching on skin due to heat rash may damage the epidermis and result in infection or a wound on the skin.

The common area of body which affects mostly are under arms, back , neck and shoulders.

What kind of treatment you can give to a person suffering with heat rash?

Heat rash can be treated in many ways.

A cool bath is a fundamental treatment for heat rash. It soothes the itching condition very quickly.

Avoid synthetic fiber clothes in hot weather helps in case of heat rash condition.

Remain in a cool place, like in an air conditioned room or at least under a fan

Some home remedies like aloe Jel or baking soda could improve the condition.

Try to keep your body dry. Moisture increases the itching.

Can heat rash severity make you bed ridden?

Usually heat rash is not very severe, but in some cases heat rash leads to fever. This increase in body temperature in turn harms the condition of heat rash in patience. Sometimes the tiny blisters have pis in them, this is because of bacterial infection combined with heat rash. Such conditions make treatment a bit complex and a professional doctor needs to deal with it.
