Good day everyone over here, how are you all doing? Happy weekend, so today, I will be airing my own opinion on HIV in response of this contest, hope you learn as you read.

Human immune deficiency or HIV is a virus that causes Aids [ Acquired immune deficiency syndrome].This virus belongs to a group of RNA virus knowns as retroviruses. This is because this virus can convert their RNA back to into DNA copy using an enzyme known as reverse transcriptase. The virus destroys the white blood cell call LYMPHOCYTES leaving the immune system vulnerable to diseases.

I haven't but when once our society get to know anyone that is infected with HIV, they'll discriminate the person. I have seen scenarios where an infected person was bullied back then in my Tertiary institution days, sometimes I do feel for her and wish the society can just see her to be a normal human being not as a cursed or death walker.

The lack of love and care they are being deprived of makes them live in fear as to what others might think of them when they step out. This is why most of them die even before natural death comes knocking. The loneliness they get to feel everyday can even get them depressed at some point leading to depression.

Ofcourse yes, these people are normal human beings, they can handle jobs of different kinds, I am saying jobs of any kind just as one who is not infected. These are not disabled people, these are strong and healthy people the society has chosen to stigmatize.

Organization who stigmatize these ones to me should sued and be fined if possible. There should be a balance in the society, HIV is not an airborne disease and shouldn't be taken as such. Truth be told, some of these people living with HIV are more healthier and fit than those not living with it, so what's the desperity? Jobs should be given to those that can deliver it not just to people who are not living with disability.

There's no scientifically proven cure for HIV for now but can be controlled and managed with the help of antiretroviral therapy. Infact anyone who takes this medication diligently can live much longer to enjoy life to the fullest. Science has made it quite easy people to live with this virus healthy and sound.

Just some months, I get to know that even pregnant women can give birth to their children without infecting them, this is really a welcome innovation in the science world. Also, from my research, I get to understand that couples can stay together even if one party is infected and still have sex without being infecting the other if they stick to their medication plan diligently even with condom. This is really the wonders of science.
