👩‍⚕️ What is mental health?

Mental health is a reference to our social, psychological and emotional well-being which also involves the way we are acting, how we feel, think about things and cope with the challenges of every day life
A good mental health is seen in our ability to appreciate and enjoy a productive life. A poor mental health will most of the time leads to sadness, hopelessness, anxiety and fatigue, affecting our relationship with others and the choice we make.

👩‍⚕️ What daily habits enhance mental resilience?

Here are some daily habits that can help to boost mental resilience:

Getting enough sleep:
Making sure you always get enough night sleep is an excellent way to maintaining mental resilience because the sleep is good for testing a person's brain. Good sleep is time for the brain to do maintenance and repairs.

Regular Exercising:
Getting some appropriate regular exercise can help to reduce stress levels and improve mood which is good for our mental health.

Connecting with others:
Creating the opportunity to spending quality time with friends and family members can help us build a strong sense of connection, support and healthy bonds.

Express Gratitude:
Always take a moment each day reflecting on the things you're truly grateful for. Counting your blessings as it is often said, can help you improve your mood and become resilience.

👩‍⚕️ How does diet influence mental health?

The food we eat and it's composition is closely linked to our mental well-being. When our diet is healthy and delicious, it leads to improve mood and reducing the risk of getting depressed. But if you know your food is poor, you are likely to have feelings of anxiety and get depressed.

Nutrient deficiencies:
When a regular diet results in the lack of certain nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, or magnesium, can contribute to a persons poor mental health condition. When we lack nutrients that would help regulate our body's functionality, we can develop a problem.

Gut health:
The gut microbiome plays a role in brain health and may influence mood and anxiety. If their activity results in the production of less or more of a substance, it could affect our mental health adversely.

Blood sugar levels:
A person who is eating a diet high in it's sugar content and a lot of processed foods can lead to spikes in the person's blood sugar suger level or a crash in blood sugar

👩‍⚕️ What activities promote emotional balance?

There are number of activities that may help promote emotional balance and there by improve mental health.

Listening to music:
Listening to selected music that is speaking and emotionally healthy can have significant effect on the listeners health. Imagine listening to music as you do some good exercise.

Mindfulness meditation:
Consciously reflecting on some pleasant moments that bring good feeling and healthy emotions can have positive effects on our mental health. Remember happy moments.

Journaling:
Some people have found plenty of joy writing on steemit, Journaling can be a very helpful way to reflect and express out thought and feelings, letting off our emotion.

Fervent Prayer
Religious people pray, expressing their emotions and thoughts to God as if talking to a therapist who listens without interrupting.

Conclusion

Many people do not place any importance on mental health as long as they are physically ok. Mental health is very important because a mentally broken person can not function well with a physically healthy body.
