I wanted to recreate in three dimensions one of the bugs (parasites) that I know, such as TICKS, it seemed like a spectacular model to me because when it fills with the blood it has sucked from its victim, it practically grows more than 500 times its size.
As a child, I remember one time we went for a walk to a river, we really enjoyed it, but what we least imagined was that when we returned home, the whole family was infected by tiny ticks, it was very scary. We had to be attentive for many days checking each other's skin. In addition to some medicines and unpleasant-smelling ointments with which they bathed or covered us.
Why a Tick?

Steps
Here is the reference image, while it was starting. --- Capture of @joslud |
The first thing was to look for a model image on the Internet (searching with google lens), and I found one that showed a view under the electron microscope of the tick, establishing great contrast when using black and white. With that inspiration I turned to the desktop program
SCULPTRIS that allows you to recreate figures by modeling digital clay and turn them into sculptures.
Give the basic shapes
Starting from the ball of clay, I molded it by first flattening and then lengthening some parts to give the shape of the body swollen with blood.
Take out the legs of the insect -Take out the mouth
In the same way I created the 6 legs with their hairs and claws and the biting and sucking mouth of the tick.
Ready the modeling now to paint -- Gif of @joslud |
Color
The coloring was simple, I applied one in black and white that Sculptris comes with. Then I took the captures at different angles.
Conclusion
The tick is an insect and as a living being, it is beautiful. However, its lifestyle is to behave like a parasite of other animals: birds, mammals, reptiles and of course us humans. They can spend time without eating in the field and other places, but when they detect a victim, they climb onto it and settle in their quality areas to suck blood from there and then proceed to reproduce. What makes them more dangerous is that they can transmit other diseases, parasites and viruses in their saliva.
By keeping our houses and environments where we work clean, prevention is done, fumigating or placing repellents. For our dogs there are vaccines and soaps that control them.

Hi friend I really enjoy reading your entry, your steps are really very nice, I wish you good luck
Gracias amigo, tu comentario es valioso.
Ticks feed on blood and that is their main food, once they dictate a victim, they jump at it and starts feeding. Some tick spend 10 minutes to 2 hours wandering to get a soft flesh where they can feed. As you said, keeping our environments clean and bathing our dogs regularly with the proper soap is very important. Success to you!
Thanks friend,
Of course, we must not forget the cleaning and deworming of the environment and our pets.
This is truly creative, I will love to try Sculptris. It looks so appealing. Wishing you success in this contest.
Hello,
Well, the invitation to use Sculptris is open, I think I left a link in the post.
Hello dear ! Your 3D modeling of the tick under the microscope is truly impressive. The step by step process you shared makes it easy to understand and appreciate your artistic skill. Please continue sharing such quality posts as they inspire others to explore their creative talents.Best wishes for you for the contest
Thank you @neelofar _
Your comment is beautiful, I value your appreciation and advice.
The challenge is very exciting. I hope you will be lucky in this challenge. Thank you for the invitation.
Thanks bro
Your 3D modeling of the tick under the microscope is truly impressive! The detailed steps you took in creating the digital sculpture provide insight into your creative process. The personal connection to your childhood experience with ticks adds depth to your artistic choice. Well done on your unique and engaging contribution to the contest!
Your comment is sweet, thank you for appreciating my story and creative process.
Hello hope your day is going well.I loved seeing your 3D model of the tick and how you made it step by step. Yes ,Ticks might look cool😂 but they're actually parasites that can make animals and people sick. It's important to keep our surroundings clean to stop them from spreading. Thanks for showing us how to make a cool model and teaching us about ticks.
Greetings friend, without a doubt ticks are beings that live as parasites affecting living beings. Very good drawing modeled on the tool. Thank you very much for sharing, blessings!
