We can say a person is an alcoholic when the person can not stay in a day without taking alcohol. Some people are addicted to alcohol even more than food. For such people, nothing can make them feel happy besides alcohol.
A person can be an alcoholic when the person can't control the intake of alcohol in his or her life. A person who drinks and gets drunk is an alcoholic person and who sees alcohol as the only thing that can make him or her happy is an alcoholic person. I have seen someone who will wake up in the morning with alcohol in his hands and end his day with alcohol.

Yes, I think alcohol is a drug. Alcohol is simply a depressant drug. Forgetting the fact that alcohol makes people feel energized, I still consider it to be a drug because it somehow makes people who take it feel react. Also, another reason why I think alcohol is a drug is that alcohol depletes body fluids and can make someone begin to feel thirsty.
Finally, alcohol is a drug because it can make a person fall sick or get weak and sleepy, just as drugs make someone feel sleepy.

No alcoholism can not be considered a disease because it's not made with poison or made to harm people, but to make those who take it feel happy (energize). It is a way of quenching depression. One can control it, by taking less alcohol in a day. We can also control it by not mixing different alcohols.

No, it's not every drunker that is considered an alcoholic, because some people only drink out of depression or when they are not happy. It is only when a who gets drunk by taking alcohol keeps taking alcohol almost every day that the person is considered an alcoholic.
