SEC-S13 / W5 | "How can alcohol cause damage to your health! 🍺"
I bring greetings to all my friends on steemit. I believe we are all doing well.
As people would always say, life is a choice. Again, we are in a world where there is no absolute truth or wrong. Everything depends on your perspectives and views about life. To some people, alcohol is good and to others, it is forbidden. I feel blessed to share my views with you this day.
I consider someone to be an alcoholic if he consumes it in such a way that it seems his life depends on it. When you consume it excessively and beyond the limit, then I consider you to be an alcoholic. A lot of people today have gotten addicted to alcohol and they can not go a day without consuming. It has married their mind.
Due to alcohol, I have known people who have lost their reputation, money, respect, and opportunities in life. This is because it has made them lose focus.
I have heard and read people saying that alcohol is a drug. I'm not against it being a drug, but I have been on Earth for 27 years, and I have never seen or heard where a doctor prescribing alcohol to a patient as a drug.
But in many cases, I have heard and known some people who were told by doctors to avoid alcohol if they want to live long. From what I have seen, alcohol is more like a disease because those who consume it excessively mostly encounter sugar disease (diabetes). In conclusion, alcohol is more of something that causes disease rather than a drug.
In the lines above, I have mentioned that most people who abuse alcohol (drinking beyond the limit) have sugar disease (diabetes). From having diabetes, high blood pressure comes in, and from there, the person might just die. In my view, alcohol is not a disease, but it contributes to giving disease. It causes disease.
Talking about avoiding alcohol, to me the best thing to do is to stay away from alcohol. But if in any case, you want to drink it, then do it with a limit. Don't abuse. Don't give it the whole of yourself. At least, be responsible.
I don't consider every drinker an alcoholic. From my definition of who a drunken is, I expressed that a drunken is he or she who is addicted to it. Someone who abuses it or drinks it beyond the limit is who I consider an alcoholic.
There are a lot of people who drink alcohol but have never gotten drunk. It never made them loose focus or misbehave due to the influence of alcohol. Such kind of people, I don't consider them alcoholic because despite they drink it, they are still responsible.
I now call on @yakspeace, @ngoeyi, @mjerry, and @josepha to participate.
