Mental peace
Greetings to the amazing friends present in the house (community).
Looking at life from another angle, I realize that in all our efforts as humans, all we want to achieve is stability. And one of the most vital things that gives us stability is our ability to have peace of mind. Life has no meaning and it's not worth living when peace is lost. As a result, we tend to achieve it and even go beyond choosing it over wealth or any material things.
I see mental peace as the ability to be free from troubles, sorrows, tribulations, and mental disorders. It can also be described as the ability to have peace of mind. In our world, there are many things that if we are not careful about, could cause mental problems. Some of these things include bad relationships, lack of exercise, poor nutrition, war, and many others.
As earlier stated, he who is passing through mental stress understands no meaning in life. That's the more reason we have people taking their life (suicide) today. It's because they see no reason to continue living, and as such they choose death over life. You might not understand, but to me, nothing is worth more than peace of mind. Not even wealth.
The importance of mental peace in our body can not be overemphasized. As it is very vital to our well-being. Have you ever wondered why we experience loss of weight and loss of appetite whenever we are faced with either sickness or other conditions that affect our mood negatively? That alone is enough to make us realize that our emotional well-being has a great effect on our entire body system.
We might have the world in our hands, and we might eat all the good foods on earth, but if we are not mentally balanced, it will show on our bodies, as we will experience loss in weight. Sometimes it even makes us look older than our age.
In as much as many things can trigger mental issues, there also many that can help build mental balance. Few of these things are
- Healthy relationship: the kind of people we relate with have a great influence in our daily life. If you relate with people who respect and sees your value, you have a high chance of being happy around them. But if you are with the wrong set of people, definitely, you have a high chance of being annoyed always.
- positive perspectives towards life: one of the problem that people often have is wrong perspectives towards things. A times, something would happen and instead of viewing it from positive angles, we tend to look into the negative, at the end, it affect our feelings.
- Daily exercise: one of the things that exercise helps to do is to keep us healthy, flexible, and young. It also contributes towards maintaining good mental health.
- Balance diet: this is one of the most essential aspect that helps in maintaining good health. It helps in keeping our body fits and our emotions balanced. Daily reading also helps in keeping mental balance. Don't forget to also watch comedies. Remember, the more you laugh, the more you get rid of bad memories.
