In your words, what are Junk Foods?

Junk foods are those that contain fewer nutrients and are not healthy for your health. Junk foods are also called discretionary foods. Junk foods are very harmful to our body and our health because they contain a lot of cholesterol, sugar, calories, and fat. Junk food is very good to eat because it contains a lot of spices. Junk food is pre-cooked. Junk food includes biscuits, cakes, fast food, pizza, fries, burgers, etc., in addition to soft drinks, etc.

When the consumption of calories and cholesterol increases in our body, we can suffer from many diseases. And the most important disease is obesity, because when there are more calories inside our body, they will lead to obesity. In simple words, we can say about junk food that it contains the amount of nutrients that our body needs, as well as the amount of cholesterol, sugar, and calories that are more than a limit.


Why do you think people are addicted to or prefer Junk food more?

Many people are addicted to junk food, and especially the young generation eats junk food with great enthusiasm because it contains unhealthy nutrients but tastes great and contains artificial flavours. And the combination of three ingredients—salt, sugar, and fat—makes junk food, so this is the reason why people focus more on junk food than healthy food. Along with this, people get addicted to junk food, which makes it easy for them to order fast food. Whenever a person feels hungry, the first question that comes to his mind is, If I order some fast food, then I order junk food, due to which he gradually becomes addicted to eating junk food.

What are the effects of Junk foods, are they healthy for consumption?

Eating junk food on a daily basis can lead to many diseases. Eating junk food can lead to obesity and other chronic diseases, including liver disease and cancer. Junk food is not easy to digest, which can damage our brain function because it lacks oxygen. Through modern studies, it has also been shown that due to excessive consumption of junk food, we start to become patients of depression, along with diseases like diabetes, which are also associated with liver diseases as well as heart diseases. Also increases, and all these diseases can cause early death.


Give ways by which someone who's addicted to Junk foods can avoid them.

  • Don't starve yourself all the time, so you won't get the idea of eating junk food, and you'll survive.
  • Use snacks that are low in calories and high in nutrients.
  • Give yourself full-time sleep because when we sleep for four to five hours and wake up more, we also eat more, due to which we gain weight.

  • Always keep in mind that junk food is very harmful to my health, so you will automatically start avoiding it.
