There are four 4 main blood group types that are A, B, AB, and an O. Each type can also be an either positive (+) or a negative (-) that depending on the whether you have an a special protein is called the Rh factor. So the full list of the blood types is A+, A-, B+, B- or AB+, AB-, O+, and an O-.
You can be find out your blood type by taking an a simple blood test. A doctor or a nurse will be take a small sample of your blood and then they test it to see in which type it is. This is an important because in the emergencies all doctors have need to know your blood group type for the blood transfusions so you have to get the right kind of a blood.
Knowing your blood type is an important for the several reasons. In case of an emergency if you have the need a blood transfusion a doctors must be match your blood type to the avoid serious complications. If you get the wrong type your body can to reject the blood that leading to dangerous reactions.
It is also useful if you have ever want to donate the blood. Your blood type is helps the doctors to decide who can safely receive your donation.
For pregnant women to knowing their blood type can helps the doctors to manage any risks related to the Rh factor which can be affect the babys health.

Blood type is affects our health in a various ways. It can be influence how our body can reacts to certain medical conditions and the treatments. For example some studies are suggest that people with type O blood may have an lower risk of the heart disease while those with the type A or AB might be more prone to it.
In the medical care knowing your blood type is to crucial for safe a blood transfusions. If you receive the wrong blood type in your immune system could attack the new blood that causing serious health problems. Blood type is also important during an organ transplants as to matching types can reduce the risk of an rejection.
Overall knowing your blood type that helps the doctors to make safer or more informed decisions in the emergencies and in a treatments.
Some of people are considered the universal blood donors because of their blood can be given to an almost anyone without the causing a bad reaction. People with the type O negative (O-) blood are an universal donors because their blood does not have a certain proteins that can cause by the body to reject it. This makes the O- blood safe for everyone especially in the emergencies.
On the other hand many people with the blood types like AB+ can be receive blood from any type of (A, B, AB, and O) because of their body accepts all proteins. However the people with rare or a specific blood types like an O- can be only receive the blood from a few types usually in just their own. This is why knowing the blood type is so important in a medical situations.
