Prolonged cough
INTRODUCTION
Hello my fellow steemians. I want to belief that you are all doing well. I want to participate in this contest which is all about cough. It is important to treat your self and take good care of yourself especially in issues like this. I will answer some questions.
Is it Normal to have cough more than one month?
No, it's not normal to have a cough which lasts more than one month. A type of cough which lasts longer than 4-6 weeks could be a sign of a bad condition and needs medical attention.
Coughs are normally caused by viral or bacterial infections, allergies, or environmental pollutants, and they usually gone on their own within 1-3 weeks. If a cough persists or worsens more than that time it may mean a more serious bad condition, such as:
- Asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Lung cancer, Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Chronic bronchitis, Sinusitis, Tuberculosis
If you have a cough that has lasted more than a month, it's important to consult a healthcare professional to know the cause and get good and appropriate treatment. They may perform different tests, such as chest X-rays, CT scans, or pulmonary function tests, to help know the underlying cause of your cough.
What can be possibilities of getting different health complexities if cough is untreatable after medications of one month?
If a cough last upon medication for over a month, potential health complexities coulf arise, including:

Have you ever suffered from prolonged cough?
Yes I have experience such. It was so bad that anytime I cough I will have a chest pain . It will be as if something is hitting me in the chest. But now I thank God it is gone. The cough lasted for about 5 weeks.
