Yesterday was Shiva Ratri, the night of Shiva as well as Women's Day.

On this day those who offer Puja they take fasting and remain awake for the whole night. It is done as spiritual teaching of forgiveness and sacrifices. Our mind is not our master. Our mind always crave for food as our senses demand physical pleasure. As we require to be awaken about our true self that is Infinite bramha. That is why Shiva Ratri is a very serious practice in awakening us and abstaining from physical pleasure of our senses.

I took my morning medicines. I watched few YouTube videos. I took a shower. I had my lunch little early. I had vegitarian food.

I returned home. I had a nap. I had Bela Pana. I had a cup of coffee with biscuit afterwords. In the evening I went out for a stroll and watch the locality. There were queues of mainly ladies to pour water milk ghee vashya and flowers with bell patra to Shiva Lingam.

On the way I saw a live demo of Mahadev (we call Shiva as Mahadev with the attire of Tiger skin) performed by a man. He has a painted third eye and holding Trisul and a dumru. They used to appear in different de·i·ties according to the occasion to get donation from people for living. Normally it is not seen in cities. They are also called Bahurupi.

I returned home. I again watched TV for an hour. In the meanwhile my dinner was ready. I had roti and vegetables. I had my medicines at the bedtime.

Thank you for reading my post.

You really had a great day. Initially when I read the post I thought you said you fasted until I read when you had your breakfast. I had to read again to understand that the fasting was for those who perform puja.

It was nice reading, best wishes sir!

Thank you. Sorry for the inconvenience.
