WHO (World Health Organization) has declared public health emergency international concern

Symptoms can be uncomfortable and painful

Мonkeypох is preventable Most people recover fully but some people can get seriously ill.

While monkey ρox can affect anyone most cases in the outbreak among man who have sex with new men.

What we knew about the outbreak is changing fast we are learning more every day.

When to seek testing

If you are experiencing symptoms consistent with mpox, including an unexplained skin rash, rush inside your mouth or genital area, lesions, or weilen lymph nodes.

If you are in close contact with someone who has mpox. Close contact can mean being face to face ( talk ), skin to skin ( touching or vaginal/oral sex), mouth to mouth (kissing), mouth to skin (oral sex)

People who have sex with multiple or new partners most at risk

Check yourself regularly for symptoms and ask partners to do the same

If Мonkeypох is impacting your community you can reduce your risk by reducing your number of sexual partners, wating for awhile before having sex with a new partner or taking a break from sex.

Condoms will prevent some STIs. They may also reduce exposure to monkey pox, but they will not revert you becoming inflected through physic contect.

Protect yourself from monkey pox

If someone you know is diagnosed with or has suspected monkey pox, avoid close contact with them

If you have symptoms seek health advice and isolate yourself while you get tested.

Get vaccinated if it is available to you.

Follow Advice to reduce the risk of infection if you live with someone who has monkey pox.

If you think you have monkeypox

Get advice from a health worker.

Get tested

Isolate at home if your health worker advice you to do so.

Take care of your rash, physical and mental health

Protect others by avoiding close contact with them.
