CREATING AWARENESS FOR THE HEART, MAINTENANCE AND FUNCTIONS

Just eight years ago I had a massive heart attack. My main artery was damaged. At that time a device called ICD was put on my chest to support my heart. I had two more heart attacks in February 2022 when two stents were placed. Unfortunately I had another heart attack in August 2022 when it was observed one of my stents was blocked and another stent was implemented. So I thought I would share my experience with you. Mention few types of hearts diseases

Myocardial infarction

It is also known as a heart antick characterized by interruption of blood flow to the heart.

Heart failure

occurs when the heart's function are at a reduced level which can be fatal

Mitral valve regurgitation

the flaps of the mitral valve do not close tightly enough as the heart pumps blood, resulting in the blood flowing back into the chamber and causing the heart to enlarge.

Mitral valve prolapse

A comman cause of heart murmurs, that happens when the mitral wave flaps do not close properly and distend into the ventricle.

Aortic stenosis

occurs when the heart's aortic valve narrow reducing or blocking the blood flow from the heart to the aorta and the rest of the body.

Stroke

happens when there is a sudden interruption in the brain blood supply, which is commonly caused by an instant blockage of the arteries leading to the brain or ruptured blood vessel in the brain.

Our bodies actually have two circulatory systems

The circulatory system is composed of the heart and blood vessels including capillaries, arteries and veins.

The heart and circulatory system also called the cardiovascular system make up the network that delivers of blood to the body's tissues.

Veins

A vein an elastic blood vessel that transports boud from various regions of the body to the heart.

Arteries

The arteries deliver oxygen teach blood to the capillaries where the actual exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide occurs.

Superior vena cava

The superior vena cave (also known as the cave or cva) short, vein that carries the deoxygenated blood from upper half of the body to the heart's right atrium.

Aorta

It serves to supply them all with oxygenated blood.

THE HEART

The heart pumps the blood, which curries all the vital materials which help our bodies function and removes the waste products that we do not need

The heart is one of the most important organs in the entire human body. It is really nothing more than a pump composed of muscles which pump blood through out the body, beating 72 times per minute throughout our life.

Eating a diet having high in trans fat, saturated fat and cholesterol increase the risk of heart dieseses.

Remain inactive and not doing enough physical activities can also lead to heart dieseses

Women and men should not drink more than one and two drinks a day respectively.

Smoking is equally dangerous for heart dieseses.
