(Design and edited on canvas)
It is my great pleasure to witness and engage in the fourth week of steemit engagement challenge of season sixteen. A wholeheartedly greetings to all my follow steemian and at the same time I'm so excited in my entry of this contest. Firstly, I will like to appreciate Healthy Steem for organizing this interestingly contest title "The Environment and Our Health" which inspired me to expantiate in my own opinion, so without any further ado let's get started.
Indeed everyone has diverse idea on this topic. In my own opinion environment which also means surrounding which has the influence of both living and non-living element originated from the middle french word later emerged into english language in the mid 19 century, honestly speaking, it was primarily used in the context econogical system and surrounding as almighty made it so. This environment talks about a sum of all living and non-living element as I said earlier and their possible effect that influence human life such as plant, forest, land, animals etc, including abiotic element which also includes water, rock, air and rock.
We humans have realized that in our day-to-day living our surrounding has a great impact in our overall well-being. We are the product of our environment as God almighty made it to be so, and a pleasant environment can influence our mood and healthy living while in some cases unpleasant ones can enhance stressful or choetic effect to our physical and mental health. However our surrounding can impact our well-being in many various ways such as noise, sunlight, animals, air, pollution, overcrowded area and the environment can promote safety, gives us the opportunity to interacts with others and as well contribute to our physical and mental healthcare.
Human health can be significantly impacted by Pollution, whether it comes from the air or water. Here are a few instances:
Air pollution, especially from sources like particulate matter, ozone, and nitrogen dioxide, can aggravate respiratory diseases including bronchitis and asthma. Additionally, it may result in wheezing, coughing, and dyspnea.
Reproductive Health Concerns: Certain pollutants can alter hormonal balance and reproductive health, resulting in fertility issues, birth deformities, or pregnancy complications.
Skin problem: Air pollution can aggravate skin diseases like eczema and acne, as wellas speed up skin aging due to oxidative stress.
Diseases Spread by Water: Contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, and chemicals in water can cause cholera, dysentery, and typhoid fever.
Pollution in aquatic bodies can degrade the quality of drinking water and the food chain, potentially leading to nutritional deficiencies and other health issues.
Reducing theuse of single-use plastics, recycling and composting, conserving energy and water, employing eco-friendly transportation options (such as walking, biking, or carpooling), and purchasing locally made and sustainable goods are some easy ways to improve environmental health. While I don't follow any daily routines, I can recommend some easy things people can do tohelp the environment. Some of these include using reusable bags and containers, fixing leaks and taking shorter showers to minimize water waste, and supporting environmentally conscious businesses and practices.
An essential component of increasing public understanding of climate change is environmental education. Environmental education teaches people about the effects of human activity on the environment and the planet, which can help them realize how urgent and important it is to take action to slow down climate change. Education is crucial for raising environmental awareness and, consequently, for promoting environmental action. Understanding environmental systems and the interactions between ecological and human variables should be at the core of education. It is inevitable that many kids will wish to take action regarding the current environmental challenges if they have a firm understanding of how things affect one another through education.
