Swimming is all three: a game, an activity, and a healthy thing to do. As a sport, it requires skill, stamina and techniques and competitive events are conducted across the world. Swimming is an exercise that is conducted by making the whole body participate and thus enhances cardiovascular fitness and strength, flexibility without being harsh on the joints. T is particularly helpful for the patients with injuries or arthritis.

As a healthy activity it lowers stress, burns calories and improves the mental well-being. Regardless of whether you are swimming for competition or to take leisurely dip or if your aim is to do water aerobics, the benefits are varied. It is a versatile in nature and is suitable for all ages and fitness level. To sum it up, swimming is a distinctive activity that is fun, as well as work-out and performance oriented but in a non-stressful setting.

Swimming is a great solution for anyone and for any age, which can bring a lot of health benefits. It offers a body workout and enhances, cardio vascular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility. Since it is a low impact activity it is kind on the joints and therefore suitable for arthritis sufferers, injured or it can be used by the less mobile. Swimming also assists in weight management as it is good in caloric expenditure. It increases the lung space and heart circulation leading to better heart health. Swimming could also help contribute to improved sleep and overall mood. Swimming whether done for leisure or in the course of a fitness program is safe and fun way of staying physically and mentally fit all through one’s life.

Have you ever tried to swim? .Where did you do this in a river, pool or in a sea? And how was your experience?

Yes, I have but gotten into swimming, and my initial taste was in a river. And also it was a natural and rejuvenating setting and seriously I enjoyed the cool flowing of water. Initially to me I felt a little nervous but seriously when I got accustomed to it I enjoyed a lot. Later, I have also swum in a pool and it was very different. The water was calm and clear, one was able to exercise swimming techniques. However, the two experiences were pleasant, and the river was more perilous while the pool was safer. Overall swimming was a good experience and I am glad that I had an opportunity to try it in different venues.

First, always ensure that you warm up before entering the water so as to warm your muscles. Again perfect your breathing you have to breathe through your mouth while in the water while exhaling through your nose. Streamline your body in order not to drag it along with you, keeping up the momentum. And again you don't have to panic if you are tired, float on your back to relax.

To me i will say always swim in well protected areas and also do not swim alone at any time. You have to wear goggles to ensure protection to your eyes and also enhance underwater sight. So as for beginners, take classes to gain the techniques. Lastly, be calm and relaxed in water. Practice entails confidence in becoming a better swimmer.
