What is food poisoning?
Food poisoning is also known as foodborne illness and it is a condition caused by consuming contaminated food or beverages and it occurrs when you consume food that contains harmful bacteria ir parasite which can multiply in food if it is not prepared or cooked properly.
And what causes food poisoning is improper handling and preparation of food undercooked or draw food such as eggs meet and seafood cross contamination when bacteria from one food item spreads to another also eating food that has been stored at improper temperatures.
What are the symptoms of food poisoning?
The symptoms of food poisoning is abdominal pain sharp or cramping pain in the abdominal area is often experienced.
And also nausea and vomiting are also symptoms and are often the body's way of expelling the harmful substance.
Fever is also one of the symptoms of food poisoning some cases of food poisoning may cause an elevated body temperature.
What are the prevention of food poisoning?
The only way to prevent food poisoning is true cleanliness wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before headling food after using the bathroom and after touching animals especially.
And again safe cooking temperature use a food thermometer to ensure that foods are cooked to the proper internal temperature.
Also be aware of high risk foods because certain foods such as raw or undercooked eggs raw sprouts and undercooked seafood are more likely to cause food poisoning.
What are the treatments for food poisoning?
While the treatment for food poisoning depends on the severity of the symptoms and the specific type of bacteria or virus causing the illness but in most cases the body can recover from food poisoning on its own within a few days.
Some treatment that can be done is something like drinking plenty or fluids such as water or oral rehydration solutions to prevent dehydration caused by vomiting and diarrhea.
